This place deserves a solid five stars. All the food was fresh and incredibly tasty. The pecan-crusted chicken was amazing, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, made with tender chicken breast. The fish was delicate and perfectly cooked. Everything we tried was full of flavor. Service was great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The coconut meringue pie was unforgettable — I’ve never had a pie this good before. Definitely worth trying. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the fried zucchini. It was too tough, with too much breading, and oily. That part was a letdown, but everything else was excellent. Highly recommend

We stopped at Debora's on our way to the Houston area after touring Golead's Presidio and Mission. It was perfect because the restaurant is located in the beautiful, historic town square which I had also wanted to see. We were very hungry after hours in the car, and our lunch didn't disappoint. My husband's patty melt was delish, and I had a great BLT, but the cheeseburger soup was out of this world. And I don't eat hamburgers! The staff was great and the experience was wonderful.

I had the Stuffed Cabbage Roll with mashed potatoes and green beans. My partner had the Pecan Crusted Chicken. That was followed by a slice of coconut pie and lemon pie. It was everything I'd hoped for and more. That wonderful southern hospitality and southern food that you read about? Well I definitely found it here.

UPDATE-Thursday 09/19/24

My wife and I drove back up from the Corpus Christi (Sinton) area just to eat lunch at Deborah's.

My wife has the pecan crusted chicken and I had the chicken fried chicken. EXCELLENT again!

The atmosphere is great, the food is excellent. Great home cooking.

Would highly recommend it. We will be back again for sure!

Had high hopes but the service was less than desirable. Had to get our own high chair. Waitress had a frown the entire time. Seemed like she was upset we were there to eat & we were a bother. Didn’t anticipate needs. Sandwiches were good. They didn’t come with a side, chips or fries. Sweet tea was weak and never was offered a refill. No soup but was on menu. Decor of place was neat and “home-like” but the service we received made us feel unwelcome. 2/5 stars- better service would’ve...
