Mais La Coffee and Tea — Restaurant in Gonzales

Mais La opened a few minutes away from my house and I was ECSTATIC to have a coffee shop this close. I have worked in coffee shops for years, so they are a safe space to me. I was hoping this place would be added to the list of home-like shops I can sit and rot in, and BOY did they exceed my expectations. Every employee has shown incredible customer service, but they all go above and beyond. They care about you, and they notice your absence if you go a few days without visiting. I went in last week to lift my spirits a few hours after losing my family dog, and by the time I got there, they had already heard, and not only did they pay for my drink, but they comforted me as well. Met my wife for an evening cup of coffee. Excellent service. We have been to several in Ascension Parish and this is the nicest and friendliest place. I will highly recommend. Mais La is the cutest hole in the wall coffee shop for it’s location. The decor was precious and the lighting was perfect if you’re looking for a place to grab coffee with a friend and chat, or sit down and spend some time studying or working.
