I have always loved sunflower bakery. Placed a carryout order over the phone after glancing over the menu list on their Google. i ordered a bacon cheeseburger w fries & requested it to be cut in half I was told it would be 15-20 mins. It took 31 mins & on a timed lunch thats no good so I wouldn't suggest this place for a quick bite. My burger was not cut in half even tho she read the order back to me w my request (no biggie). the quality & size have changed from recent visits. I was not very pleased w the freshness of the meal and the burger is a decent size smaller than it use to be. That being said their pricing continues to increase as the quality & size drop. The prices on their Google page that they are in charge of updating is out of date apparently. My total did not reflect the pricing on the menu + tax. When I brought this up they did not offer to honor the price they have listed. Instead it was basically an our bad response & she said its because the prices have incresed so many times. They do not give you a total over the phone unless you ask & they do not offer you your receipt after paying. Its so sad to see a place that once had a 5 star rating from me now has a 2. Sunflower bakery your customers deserve better from you. These are all easy fixable issues if management would step it up. Called in an order approximately 8:20 am and got there to pick up my order and waited at the register while 3 people ahead looked at the menu and placed orders to sit in and eat. Was told that my items won't be available for some time. I told them cancel it. Left called back to suggest taking numbers or different methods for people placing orders at the counter to dine in... manager kept interrupting me telling me to say it's Christmas instead of listening to what I had to say to the point I hung up the phone. Read moreWe were pretty excited pulling in to such a highly rated restaurant. I guess we had bad luck today and arrived on an off day.
We had a chicken salad sandwich which had a good flavor, but the chicken was ground up too fine making it a weird consistency. The bread was good.
The chicken strip basket was not good. Thin strips of chicken, thick breading. Definitely frozen from a bag. Then fried until any moisture or flavor in the chicken was gone. Hard crunchy. Hard to swallow without alot of water. And the water tastes like dirt. The fries that came with it were very good.
There was a table that had finished eating, but lingered forever with a screaming baby. Then, another patron (a regular, well known by the staff) ordered and sat down and played videos on his phone at full blast. I thought the place was under attack.
I honestly thought we were victims of some prank video, but never saw any cameras.
Wish i had stopped at McDonald’s....
