PLEASE do yourself a favor and pull off the highway!! This small town Cafe needs to be a regular stop along your way, coming and going. The owner, Jackie, served us with enthusiasm and a broad smile. Due to the very reasonable prices, our expectations were low. We were shocked! Hubby ordered the All American Breakfast with 3 pecan pancakes. There were so many whole praline pecans that he couldn't cut it. I ordered the 2pc Avocado toast with one blueberry pancake. We had soooo much delicious top quality food that it took us an hour to eat. The only complaint I heard was a little boy saying he couldn't eat the crusty of his grilled cheese sandwich because he couldn't open his mouth that wide! LOL All the other patrons were all smiles as they saw their selections presented to them. There was not an issue in the entire place. Jackie is right there at all times, catering to the "family" she is serving at any given time. The surprises continued at the cash register. Our meals qualified us for the Tuesday special of 2 meals, 2 bev, and 2 pastries for $22. So now we needed to make another difficult decision about which delectable pastries we wanted. We ended up choosing 2 thick, jumbo cookies. One M&M and one triple chocolate. This woman's "small town cooking" Bakery Cafe needs to be put on the map in a big way. Thank you, Jackie, for everything! We'll be regular "passing thru" patrons and will encourage others to do the same.

We happened to stop in town for the giant easel, so we decided to grab a bite to eat. The Terra Bona Bakery Cafe seemed like a cute little spot on Main Street so we stopped for a quick bite to eat. Service was typical for a small town. Not the fastest, but homey, conversational and friendly. Wait time for the food was reasonable. We ordered the Reuben Special and Chicken Tenders large (I think five large tenders, three for the small order). The Reuben was standard, but solid. Good sized and worth the $10.95 price. The waffle fries were great! Not as salty as many of them you get. The tenders were wonderful! Huge pieces of white meat that wasn't the pressed type meat. Real chicken. Good to see. These were $12.50 and well worth it, especially with the waffle fries and dipping sauces. We had entered via the left doorway which lead directly to the sitting area. To pay your bill, you have to go all the way to the right doorway. This is where the register is and where the bakery area is located. We were too full (didn't even finish all the tenders!), to take anything for the road. Would definitely stop here again if in Goodland!

This is what small town America is meant to be. The people are absolutely amazing. The staff is friendly and truly cares. The food is beyond comparison. The baked goods are worth the trip alone. The lattes are made to perfection and with love. It’s the kinda place that makes you want to eat there every day.

Wow!

What a lovely gem to have come across on our road trip travels from FL to CO, and at night too when nothing else was available. Such a friendly, welcoming, and colorful atmosphere with the staff and service to compliment it all well!

My hubz and I ordered the Dirty Masala Chai ice blended and hot plus a large shaved ice to share (Bubblegum & Cotton Candy). We were also provided with a nicely seasoned bucket of popcorn while we waited!

We also noticed how the environment is built to assist the community and passing patrons to stay in touch with their playful side. They have included a classic gameboards and puzzles area for the kids or while you wait.

Thank you for taking care of us both John & Mary Allen and the youngling's too! We are sorry we missed you on our way back home, but we have definitely favorited you as a place to visit when we are...
