Jimbo's — Restaurant in Gore

THE ABSOLUTE MOST HORRIFIC FOOD AND EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! (The only reason I even gave 1 star was due to the fact that I wanted to give this review and there wasn't a -5 star option!) (Due to character limits, I will just jump to the worst part)

Once our food arrived, I first noticed the burger. Don't be fooled by the pics on here, the patties were only about 1/8", if even! They were burnt, black and formed a bowl shape. When I looked at my Chilli, I had to stop and think what I had ordered. It was ground hamburger with chilli powder in it. No beans, liquid, nothing!!! I tried a few bites of the tots but it seriously taste like I chewed up my burnt hamberger and then threw a spoonfull of chilli powder in my mouth. (Just writing about it is making my stomach turn) I decided that I could not eat this food, and I certainly was not going to pay for something I could not chew nor stomach. So I quietly went up to the cash register to discuss the situation with the waitress without the other customers hearing about my complaint. I explained everything, and I told her that I would pay for the tots because I did take 2 bites, however, I refuse to pay for the burger. Just then, a blonde female comes out of the kitchen and asks if there was anything she could help me with. I asked if she was the manager. She replied, "No Ma'am". The waitress told me that the blonde was "family of the owners". I said "Great, can you please follow me"? She followed and then I explained and showed her what I was talking about. This girl sat there and argued with me, telling me that she had worked there since "she was 11" and that the chilli had always been that way. I asked her, "If I was to order a cup of chilli, would you bring me a bowl of this"? She said that the chilli in the bowl was "a little runnier, but yes". I then explained that the chilli I was expecting on the tots should be the same chilli I would get in a bowl and there was no explaination of the difference between the two in the menu. Then she said, "I'm not stupid and don't talk to me like that". Then she started arguing with me about the burger. I told her that I couldnt even take them apart. She replied with "there is cheese melted between them". I broke off a chunk from the side where there was no cheese and showed her what I was talking about.

Needless to say, I left after she told the waitress not to accept the money I offered to pay for everything besides the burnt burger. The blonde mumbled something as my back was turned. When I turned around and asked her what she said, both her and the...

I used to frequent Jimbo’s for breakfast on and off while on annual vacations until moving to Gore, OK in December 2017. One evening, In January 2018, I stopped in to have a cheeseburger with french fries for dinner. When i started to eat my cheeseburger, i wound up spitting out a piece of 1-1/2 in by 1 in what looked like cardboard. I quickly took the plate back to the counter and asked for them to identify exactly what this was and why it was in the hamburger patty.

The waitress returned with the same plate 10 minutes later and said the cook had no idea what it was and left. If this was a restaurant/diner with competent management and employees, a plate of contaminated food would NEVER be brought back to the customer.

A new plate should have been brought back instead of the contaminated cheeseburger. The cheeseburger should have been bagged up along with the pice of cardboard and given back to the meat supplier for proper examination allowing the meat producer to determine if a recall was necessary.

On top of this, Jimbo’s waitress at the time expected me to pay for the meal which really astounded me. Of course I refused.

This is a place that tended to be elitist in that there was a special table in the corner reserved for the owner’s use only with a sign stating this0n the table.

I have returned since; but only for breakfast and on an infrequent basis. The manager’s owner’s table was finally left open to any diner without the sign. In the end run, the place is still low quality, with marginal service, decrepit diner booth with cracks in the vinyl and duct taped over the splits.

TERRIBLE VISIT. I GET THERE AND THERES ONLY ONE FAMILY SITTING. I GO SIT BY MYSELF AND AFTER 5 MINUTES OF THE LADY WALKING AROUND SHE FINALLY BRINGS A MENU. I TELL HER I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE COMING BUT IM READY TO ORDER. SHE JUST SAYS OK AND WALKS AWAY. AFTER ANOTHER 5 MINUTES OF WAITING FOR HER TO RETURN I FIND HER AND TELL HER AGAIN IM READY TO ORDER. I ORDER FOR MYSELF AND MY MOM ALL WHILE SHE HASNT ASKED HOW I WAS OR HI OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE AT LEAST DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I GO SIT BACK DOWN. 15 MINUTES LATER MY MOM COMES IN. 20 MORE MINUTES AFTER THAT WE FINALLY GET OUR FOOD. WAITER WOULDNT CRACK A SMILE OR ANYTHING THE WHOLE TIME. TOLD HER THANKS WHEN SHE BROUGHT THE FOOD OUT AND SHE JUST WENT MHM AS SHE WALKED AWAY. AS WE ARE ALMOST DONE MY MOM SPENDS 5 MINUTES LOOKING FOR HER AND ASKED FOR MORE GRAVY AND THE GIRL WAS SHORT AND SNAPPY AND SAID YA HANG ON. AFTER ANOTHER 5 MINUTES OF WAITING ON THAT WE WERE COMPLETELY DONE WITH OUR MEAL. SHE FINALLY CAME TO BRING OUT THE GRAVY AND MY MOM SAID SHE DIDNT NEED IT AND THE LADY DIDNT SAY A WORD JUST WENT BACK TO THE KITCHEN. WE GOT UP TO PAY AND THE LADY STARTED RINGING EVERYTHING UP AND MY MOM ASKED TO SEE THE RECEIPT AND THE LADY GAVE IT TO HER AND THEN WITH A HECK OF AN ATTITUDE STARTED TELLING MY MOM WHAT THE PRICE OF IT ALL INDIVIDUALLY WAS EVEN THO YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE IT ON THE RECEIPT. MY MOM TOLD HER SHE HAS A PRETTY HATEFUL ATTITUDE AND THE LADY GOT MORE HATEFUL AND STARTED ARGUING WITH MY MOM. WE GOT IT PAID AND LEFT. H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E. SERVICE.
