I don't expect this post to get much further then this page but I'll air my grievances anyway. I am a doordash driver who picks up orders from this establishment frequently like so many other doordash drivers and other delivery companies. On occasion our delivery is already ready waiting for us on the table as we walk in the door but for most of the time we have to wait which is fine especially during times like these when everybody is short-staffed. This particular time I came in and told a young server the name on my order and she went and checked on it. There were two other drivers waiting for orders at this time as well. I watched other driver's come and go with their orders. The time that I was supposed to pick up my order was now 15 minutes past due. Anytime they came back I tried to get their attention to let them know I still didn't have my order but they paid no attention. The customer finally reached out to me and asked what was going on because he seen that I was still at the store. I let him know that I was looking into it and I would get a hold of doordash directly to see if we could speed up the process or find out what happened cause at this point I thought maybe the order got picked up by somebody else accidentally. I contacted doordash directly and they called the store and the manager put together the order in a couple minutes after the call but then told me it was my fault and never to call them first. I was told I cost them an extra 5 minutes when in reality they cost me 25 minutes of the customers and my time. The manager was very rude and not very nice about it. No apology was offered. I told her this was THEIR customer and I am just the liaison between the customer and their establishment representing their customer. I'm not sure if you just don't like doordash drivers but if this is the case why don't you just drop the service and save yourself some heartache. Or perhaps you just don't like your job maybe you should find another one there are plenty of places hiring right now. But the one thing you don't do is come off on me like it's my fault that you guys screwed up somebody else's order. That's on you. I apologize profusely to YOUR customer and fortunately they were very sympathetic to the situation. I don't think I'll be picking up any more doordash orders from this establishment as the result of the manager not handling the situation properly and furthermore my family normally eats at this establishment, a family of five, that spends between $60 and $80 every time we come in. I'm sure there's plenty of the restaurants that will take my money. Anyway...

It’s sad how much this place has gone downhill, I used to enjoy taking my family here. I won’t be going back. It is very obviously cut down to the bare bones there and I feel bad for the employees for being overworked. I just get cheapskate vibes from looking around. They don’t even have napkin dispensers on the table or a cloth napkin, so you have to bother your busy waitress when you need little things like that. Plus it took us a long time to even get our food to begin with. The silverware was gross, and we asked for plastic instead. It seemingly looks fine but they are all covered in a layer of grime and need a good soaking/scrubbing. I polished a small spot so it really is silver underneath, all of our utensils were like this. The jar style glasses also look like the could be cleaned better they were dusty around the threading on the rim. Didn’t even end up eating my food because it was burned. The menu described it as having sautéed mushrooms which I got 4 pieces I had to dig for that don’t add up to a whole mushroom. After that it made me realize all of the onions were burnt and one side of the steak tips. The home fries and eggs were bland. I sent the meal back and they didn’t charge for it. I will say at the very least they correct their problems but disappointing to have them come up to begin with. If you burn/ruin food you need to own it and start over. Last time I came here got a pancake hidden in the bottom of my stack that was white as a ghost, they did remake it but I think the cooks need to stop sending out garbage mistake food. If you won’t eat it don’t send it. My husbands plate of food this time did look good but I felt bad to keep bothering my busy waitress nor did I want to take my chances for the price. Instead I opt not to come back and I wouldn’t...
Read moreWe have been coming to this restaurant for many years. We have become handicap and it is easier to order take out then to dine in. And for some reason take out is the hardest part of if this job, at our Bob Even. We almost all ways order the same thing. Country Fried Steak W/Mash Potato & gravy W/ vegetables. They never get the order right. My husband likes brown gravy on the steak and potatoes. I like it with the white gravy. They seen to never get it right, they always but white gravy on my husband order. This time they put white gravy on the Country fried steak and brown gravy on the potatoes. They get mine right. I need to know why they can’t manage to read a ticket and follow detection? Why is the person missing this every time? Why are they not checking the tickets and making sure it is right. Or why isn’t the person placing the order in the bag, checking it as well? We have told them many times, and let them know of this mistake several times. They say they are sorry and do it again, or they give us a Bob Evens Cash Card so we can call them and order the Country fried steak, so they can do it all over again. It has become really tiring. And sad, that your restaurant in Grand Blanc, Mi. Can’t get it right. Even when Bob Evans pays for the meal. Don’t get me wrong, we really love Bob Evens and we want you to stay in business, but if you keep handing out freebies, you won’t be in business for much longer. Gone are the A&W’s, Bill Knipps, the Big Boys for allowing these thing to happen over and over again. They all have done to many franchise, and can’t keep up with the quality and integrator of...
