GB’s Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Grand Blanc Charter Township

Honestly, the whole experience was disappointing and didn't live up to the hype posted on Facebook. My husband and I went on a Saturday night for dinner and could barely hear ourselves talk over the loud TVs. Not sure why they were that loud when there was less than 15 people there and the only ones that weren't staff was us. As soon as we sat down we were asked if we knew what we wanted to order. My husband asked if there was a drink list and was told no. The server barely knew what beer was on tap. I asked about a signature cocktail I had seen posted on your Facebook posts but she said there was none but they were trying to come up with one. Sadly the only craft beer you have is Sam Adams which isn't really craft. My husband ordered a black and blue burger and for $14 we expected better than a cheap bun with a pre pattied burger topped with a handful of blue cheese. There were no other toppings and he wasn't asked if he wanted any either. I got the chicken street tacos. The chicken was cold and rubbery. I could tell it wasn't fresh and had been microwaved to take the chill off. For the price of those they should have came with chips and salsa or something. When it was time to pay our bill I asked the server if I could pay with Apple Pay and she said she didn't think that was accepted. I guess the fact that there was a sticker on the front door right above the handle and another sticker on the back of her machine to process the payment wasn't enough of an indication to her that it was a payment option. Kind of crazy I have to make a review like this.. but last month i showed up to this bar with a few friends, we went outside and played some connect four with no intention of the owner showing up 😅 i had no idea who this guy was until the next morning after i received multiple messages from him requesting me and my friends to show up to some bar he owns in fenton (no idea how he found me on social media). i ended up blocking him because he was consistently messaging me. Today, well over a month AFTER my friend and i (whom have been here times before) show up to gb’s bar & grille and they completely restrict us after sitting down at the bar. a bouncer asked for our IDs which we showed and my friend has a paper ID but also has a photo of her regular ID in her phone (which worked at many other bars such as davison hotel). Not sure how long this place has been open but something needs to be done about ALOT of things. We had picked this place for Father’s Day dinner because my husband LOVES prime rib. Looked at the menu (they gave us 3 for 7 people) and find out the prime rib is only on satursays. Fine there’s a ribeye on the menu so he said he’d get that. Tried to order that and they had no rib eye. Only a strip steak that day. Then they charge you $2 for every substitution! Husband wanted rice instead of baked potatoes and got charged $2 extra when you know rice is cheaper. If he had also wanted broccoli instead of the mixed veggie it would have been an additional $2 charge! Place has a great outside.
