Eagles Crest Grill — Restaurant in Grand Forks

I came for the friday burger and fries special. However, I decided to go with the walleye sandwich. It was phenomenal. Very crisp and clean flavor. The lettuce and tomato were nice as well. I added sweet potato fries which was a good move on my part. I have been eating too many French fries lately. I've also been eating too much Halloween candy as well. I can feel it on my bicycle. I made a cake with candy crickets on it for a halloween dance. I think it was a hit. The crickets were bacon flavored. My thought is that if I were in the candy manufacturing business, and decided to make cricket candies; bacon would be the last flavor I would choose. Why not chocolate crickets, or strawberry? Mother's Day brunch was totally not worth the price for this trip. The buffet was half Breakfast and half "lunch" more like dinner. The Mashed potatoes were watered down and bland, the pasta with sauce was also bland and grainy. Meat table had beef, turkey, and ham. Those were pretty good. Some cut up fruit was not the greatest but the worst part, some kind of chocolate cake bar was made with salt not sugar. Not sure if all of them were like that, or just a certain batch, but it was like licking a salt shaker. 28 bucks for an adults. Will for sure skip it next year for mothers day. Not impressed. First time dining here. Arrived a bit before noon on a Tuesday. A couple tables had customers at them. Took a while for the waitress to arrive, took our drink order, returned fairly quickly with drinks. Took quite a while for her to return to take it order and what seemed like even longer to get our food. The chicken bacon ranch wrap was dry and there wasnt much ranch on it, and none on the side. If the waitress would have returned during our meal, I would have asked for some. She didn't return until she brought the check. A member of our party asked for a box and she never brought one.
