Hardee’s — Restaurant in Grand Forks

I have truly fallen in love with Hardee’s as of late! Prior to recently, I hadn’t eaten at a Hardee’s restaurant since my youth, and I’d completely forgotten how much they differentiate themselves and really Stand-Out from most other fast food restaurants. But this location has very much reminded me!

My recent positive experiences with this Hardee’s location were actually first initiated by a somewhat negative experience. Due to a staffing shortage (which the vast majority of fast food restaurants have been experiencing ever since the pandemic shut-down), for perhaps just 2-3 days recently, that location had to close-up for the day early, as they did not have team members available for the evening shift on those particular days. And, as I wasn’t aware of that at the time, I’d placed (and paid for) a mobile order in the Hardee’s app, then came by to pick it up. But when I’d arrived, there was signage saying they had to close early that day.

The next day I came by to see how they could remedy that situation for me. And the manager who was on duty at the time, Anina, was So kind and gracious, and also made me feel that my business was very valued, by issuing me restaurant credit voucher cards to both compensate me for the monies paid, but also for the inconvenience and frustration that it would have caused me. And also to ensure that the experience didn’t permanently sour me from ever returning to that location again (which, had it not been properly handled, would have). And then, at the times that I redeemed the vouchers given, the manager who was generally on duty then was Caribbean (her name), and she was always Very kind, sweet, friendly, and created a very hospitable and welcoming dining experience for me!

And with regards to the food at this Hardee’s location, it is Top Notch!!! Yes, their prices are higher than what one is accustomed to paying for “fast food,” but it’s because the quality of their food and the fact that everything is made fresh-to-order and from Scratch, is So superior to the caliber of food provided at the average fast food restaurant. They use only Real, high quality ingredients, meats, breads/buns, and have incredibly delicious beverages, as well!!! So, you’d moreso want to compare their prices to establishments like Five Guys, Chick-fil-A, Ihop, or Perkins…as opposed to comparing them to McDonald’s or Taco Bell. And also, once you see and then taste the food you’ve just paid for, you Completely understand that every cent was money Very well spent!! And you can also save money by using the Hardee’s app, which has great deals and free loyalty rewards available.

Also, it seems that the staffing shortage issue has been Fully remedied, and that they are now well-staffed. Plus, each time that I’ve visited and chosen to dine-in, whichever cashier that was on duty at the time always at some point would come around into the lobby and do some tidying up and/or sweeping and/or change out some trash bags. So they do a Fantastic job of staying on top of the cleanliness in the dining area, making it a very welcoming and comfortable environment to choose to dine-in at.

I Highly recommend them, and assure you that you’ll Love every last bite and sip of anything that you get...

Unfortunately, they are the only show in town now. They are the absolute slowest drive-thru I’ve ever been to in my life. I’d definitely say go somewhere else unless you like to wait and be disappointed.

Plan ahead…. The last time I came here there were 2 cars ahead. They got through and i sat at the window for 20 minutes. I watched several people walk in and walk out with their food while i sat looking at the employees. After being there 30 minutes they finally realized i was still parked right there looking at them. They didn’t mention sorry for the wait or anything. I asked to speak to a manager about the delay.(they had plenty of people in there working) All i got was some gal Yelling at me saying somehow my order got removed from the board. Huh…. At no time during my window wait did anyone acknowledge me or think…. Wonder why that dude is still sitting there. Disappointed and disappointed by their response. P S. I was polite and curious in my discussion with them.

Here i am giving another chance writing this. Nope. Same disappointment. Except the window is now covered so you can’t see them.

Yep. Just a Combo and Zero curls. Had to go inside to get them. ANOTHER 30 Minutes I’ll never get back.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. Very slow service - employees would rather stand around and chat than work. I stopped into the 47th St location in Grand Forks, ND to grab a quick dinner before getting back on the road to work. I noticed immediately that there were people waiting to be served - not uncommon for a fast food lobby. After I ordered, the people who ordered ahead of me complained of long wait times and left. While waiting, I watched the cooks chat with each other instead of working. The shift manager spent more time getting after the cooks to get back to work than working herself, then wasted time wandering the lobby CONFIRMING customers orders off their receipts. Multiple groups of people ordered after me just to leave without getting their food. The shift manager even told a customer waiting to order "I'll have to get back to you, I have a lot of other stuff to do" before she walked away. I waited 45 MINUTES to be served before asking for a refund. Instead of refunding me, the shift manager decided it was a good time to chat with the cooks instead of refunding angry customers. I will never recommend dining...
