Went here last weekend. I didn't want the buffet, so I ordered off the menu. I asked for toast instead of hash browns, but otherwise, my order was simple. The other three people at our table had already gone up for seconds before I got my meal. I asked the waitress about it, and she said "oh my God", and then went to check on it. We all figured she forgot to put my order in. You would think that would make her keep all eye and have her stay on top of it. You'd be wrong. I asked again about ten minutes later, and finally was brought out my breakfast. Instead of two eggs, there was only one, and I got a huge plate of biscuits and gravy that I didn't order. The waitress asked me to point out what I ordered. When I did, she said she didn't hear me say that, so she had put in the order for the wrong thing. Everyone else at the table heard me correctly. She left the egg and bacon, so I ate the bacon. After another five minutes, my mother-in-law asked another server about my breakfast, since our waitress was nowhere to be found. He said he'd go check. By this time, everyone else was done eating. They finally brought my toast and two new eggs. So I ended up eating by myself and rushing, as I didn't want the others to sit around while I ate. The waitress them came to the table and blamed the cooks, but we all agreed it was pretty obvious she just kept messing up. They did give us 20% of the bill, but that didn't even cover the cost of my breakfast. Very disappointed, and will not be going back. They weren't even that busy, so they can't claim that was what...

We were looking forward to trying this place and I'm so sad to review as is. It was finally not many people as we went at 11. We were 3rd in line for seating. We were seated in a corner which had no view or window or any picture on the wall. We received our drinks right away but then they sat empty until a waitress from another table filled them and told us she had not been able to go to the bathroom. I thought this was tacky as we had watched the people seated before us receive and eat their entire meal before we got ours. Also we watched a couple seated after us receive their meal before us and also excellent service from their waitress stopping by to check on them constantly. Their mealMeanwhile there were three empty tables the entire time we were there and it's not a big place. When my food came it did not look appetizing to me and they forgot the toast. Unfortunately there was no way to get my toast as the next time I saw our waitress was when we received our bill. She offered a 10% discount and did not come back but instead served and checked on other tables and then ran our card for the full amount and had to refund that and then bring our discounted receipt so...

We tried Berna B's for the very first time about three years ago. On that visit, we said that we would never be back. The food was bad & so was the service. I decided to give them another chance today, hoping that it would be a better experience than the last. I totally regret trying them again. I ordered a French Dip with onion rings today. It was, by far, The absolute worst French dip that I have ever had in my life. The meat was extremely dry & tough. My onion rings were very soggy & greasy. I ate 3 bites of my sandwich and spit out the first bite of my onion rings. My daughter ordered an Egg Salad sandwich with french fries. She took 4 bites of her sandwich and was done. It didn't even taste like egg salad and her french fries were very soggy and greasy like my onion rings. It took 18 minutes to get our servers at tension so we could tell her that we were not happy with our meals. When we complained, our server seemed very irritated and did not offer any resolution. We paid our check, left & went somewhere else to get something to eat. We will definitely not give them...

We finally made it here for breakfast, very convenient & quaint local cafe! The staff was friendly and attentive, offering us coffee/tea refills continually served up with a little convo. We liked how quiet and peaceful it was. Mostly seniors like us at tables. The cafe is clean but needs some updates, like the worn & torn carpet, and art and color on the walls would really help brighten it (clearly decorated by a guy lol) Food: dh got his usual veggie omelet, nice fresh avocado on top, and hash browns - all standard fare. I ordered the "blintzes" but found it disappointing as they make basic pancakes and fill them with cream cheese; the mixed berry topping was sparse and soggy, in a thin syrup. Server added a dish of whip cream which I appreciated--but these were not blintzes in any way. I'd not order them again but would return to try another dish.

The AirBnB I stayed at in Grand junction had a book of recommended restaurants, Berna’s was one of the places at the top of the list. The ambiance of the restaurant seemed like a cozy spot for regulars. I ordered the Blintzi and my partner ordered the Eggs Benedict. Turns out, our server (who was amazing, friendly, and energetic) was the one who added the Blintzi to the menu. They use their pancake batter and fill the Blintzi with cream cheese, and the flavor composition with the fresh berry jam just hits the spot. Takes me back to the days of my Babushka making me breakfast 🥹 My partner LOVED her eggs Benedict, and said it was probably the best she’s ever had, cooked to perfection. If this wasn’t 4 hours away right now, I’d be going back tomorrow 😄

My friend and I who were on a road trip were heading to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and looking for breakfast before heading out. After doing a search, we came upon Berna B’s and after reading reviews, decided to give this restaurant a try. I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs sunny side up. The food was made to order and was delicious. The servings were generous to the price making me leave full and happy. The restaurant is on the small side but the wait if you have to do so is worth it. Staff were friendly and helped with recommendations for our day. Definitely worth coming back to when I am back in Grand Junction.
