The prices on the Red Roof Inn menu in our room were NOT the same as those charged so be sure to check online for current charges. I was taken aback when I signed my bill for $64.05 (plus tip): chicken fajitas for me, 2 enchiladas for hubby, cheese dip and one virgin pina colada. Unfortunately I wasn't given flour tortillas with my order so I ate them without. My fajitas were $17.25 on the motel menu and in reality we were charged $22.99, which to be fair is listed online. I didn't fuss about the outdated hotel plastic menu and just paid the bill and tipped even on a take-out (I used to wait tables; please tip your waiters even on take-out). So, check before or have a peanut butter and honey sandwich instead like we're opting to do second night here. Otherwise a pretty straight-forward Mexican restaurant, but for us not a do-over. I did get a virgin pina colada because it was so hot outside and that was very tasty! We stayed at the Red Roof Inn next door to this restaurant because we were getting repairs done at Transwest around the corner and needed air conditioning for our dog and wifi for work. It's nice that there is a restaurant so close to the Red Roof Inn and for that I was grateful, but PB&Js for us second...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWriting this review because I was left on hold for over 20 minutes with a waitress who thought it was funny that I called in a concern. Every time my husband visits this location because he is in a responsible drinker almost ends up in a diabetic coma. He is over served his alcoholic beverages with no food just like every other visit. I called in tonight because a friend sent me a picture of my minor child having a drink. I called to report the issue and was laughed at because I was letting them know I was going to send the police because they were serving numerous alcoholic beverages to a minor. The woman who answered the phone thought it was funny put me on hold and never came back on after 20 minutes I hung up and when I called back they left the phone off the hook. I've been calling for over 30 minutes trying to get an answer if my child who is intoxicated I'm assuming after being served five beers and two margaritas is okay to even drive. Obviously my child knows they're in trouble so they're not answering the phone I'm asking the restaurant for their help and aside from illegally serving minors they're not answering my call anymore. Definitely would not recommend especially after how I was treated...

While it is located about halfway between Fruita and Grand Junction inside a Red Roof Inn motel, it is well worth the drive!!!
I'm from South Texas and since I moved here almost a decade ago I have lamented about the lack of decent Mexican restaurants.
I went there about a month ago for the first time for my wife's birthday and I was very pleasantly surprised at the high quality, fresh, and perfectly seasoned food. The excellent, friendly and prompt service was another indication of the pride these folks take in providing an outstanding dining experience.
Yesterday I went back with some out of town guests and was hoping my first visit wasn't a lucky fluke and we were not disappointed in any way. Everything we ordered was great and the service was impeccable once again.
There' s also a very nice cantina attached in a separate room so if you want to watch the game and eat you can while others can enjoy their meal without having to listen to a TV. Personally, if I want to eat dinner and watch TV, I'd rather just stay home.
I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be going back, hopefully...
