Been going here over 7 years and always had the same tacos... they are always nice there and I rarely ever have issues, but today im very dissapointed in the tacos that were always good and refreshing and always the same, evenly spread beef and bean mix on a tortilla then lush green bed of lettuce brightly colored tomato and some shredded cheese on top that sprinkled neater than sprinkles on a cupcake... Today everything was was as fine as usually except the taco I get nearly everytime I come, ill admit ive been slacking this year on coming so maybe someone or something changed but idk what or who, this ta o is no longer worth it and I hope it was a one time incident... The taco I received was barely holding together, cracked overcooked edges with a soggy middle and when opened only one bite of beef in the middle that seemed unseperated and with bean sauce remnence on it then cooked bad tasting lettuce over that with cooked tomato mixed on that which was actually not good like old tomato that wasnt taken care of properly the mushy ones that wont cut right because they've sat at the bottom of the bin for too long ina fridge then as usually cheese was on top but melted and everything was sideways stacked instead of upward like im used to, the meat was one unseperated bite in the middle that when I separated was cold and pale in the center with vague pinkness ... I called worried bout whatever changed because im prgenant again and dont want anyone else getting sicl or to receive another one and me get sick but they sounded confused and kept restating it was pre-made, but all that tells me is that whoever pre-made it didnt do so properly and if so that means not just one but maybe the whole batch isnt being made right, they said they are made to put it in for a minute timed but if you put a taco in for a minute with one baby of meat in the middle the meat wont cook fully and the tortilla will burn which makes sense but why were the veggies and cheese on it unlike for the 7+ years ive eaten there? And why was it bad veggies on it? Ive never had this happen in that 7+ years 😅... worst ive had is them have issues with their fries burning outside and being uncooked inside and that was once and I assumed that time that it was because the oil was too hot and time too short or something, ive worked in 2 kitchens including a nursing home where food prep is very sensitive and cooked since I was 5 years old... I know I at least aint crazy but just in case I checked for pictures of reviews after the taco was taken care of and I definitely aint crazy 😅 this taco wasnt made right, sadly I dont have much proof because my taco was taken care of before I thought to take pictures for "investigation"/review proof but did take a pic of the meat just sadly my phoenix "auto edits" making things darker so the pale pink just fainted out ;-; but I aint crazy that taco was not right 😅 hopefully this dont happen again... mainly making this yo remind myself next time if it happens to ask whos prepping it or if somethings changed ... if it happens again I wont eat their tacos anymore and thats the main thing I like so I wont be coming much at all here or recommending because thats what I talk up... they offered to remake but why would I beg yo borrow my partners moms car to go get a taco "premade" by the same person when no one seems yo even understand what im saying is wrong so it'll just happen again if its from the same recent batch... Before choosing to spend a fortune at this establishment, go have a look at their FB page...They have removed the review section of their FB page. They delete any comments made on their posts that may be considered negative.They block said commenters from commenting on any and all posts.They don't respond or respond poorly to FB direct messages. I'm not saying that the owner (Jason) is a bad person. I don't know him personally. When I have encountered him, he has been friendly. But he has proven time and time again that he does not know s#!t about customer service or service recovery. My family visits Weathervane weekly. We spend between $30-$40 at our weekly visit. Not complaining about the money, as it's a tradition for us and allows us to escape the world, have a treat and enjoy family time. This past week, our experience was horrible. I went to their fb page to find that there is no option to leave a review. I commented on a post and explained the above (kindly). My comment was deleted. I commented the following day and again my comment was deleted. I hate to stop going but for management to not only not address my concern but then delete my comment twice? Seriously? I am now unable to comment on any post on their page. And as I scrolled through some previous posts, it's very clear that only positive feedback is allowed. Picked up my order here that was placed at 5pm to be picked up at 8pm. 7 tacos and a french fry. I get in the car with the food after waiting almost 10 minutes, the French fries were ice cold - literally hours old. I went back to the window and asked for the last taco and a replacement french fry. They say they will make it, give them a few minutes. Thirty minutes later, the kid comes to the window with the last taco and says "my manager tells me I can't make the fries again because the order was placed at 5 and not picked up until now." They tried to hand me back the cold, hours old french fries. I asked for the manager's number - boy was Brendan a treat! After a heated conversation I asked for the owner's phone number and was told "I am as high as you can go." And I said I would like the owner's information. He said I'm not giving it to you, and good luck finding it." And hung up. I wouldn't recommend this place if you care about customer service - at all.
