I have no choice but to give this place a 2. They were initially very difficult to work with over the phone to make a reservation. I had to call several times to get everything straight.. a very disorganized and chaotic system. Our server was excellent by the way (did an excellent job). But the overall pace of everything was extremely slow. It took over 2.5 hrs to dine here. The food was decent but overpriced for the overall experience. I would not recommend LBV and I would not choose to dine here again. Instead you can get a way better experience for a better price at the Mahogany Sports Grill on the otherside of the lobby.

service and atmosphere was great. food was not so good. my chicken/pasta dish had zero flavor. very watery. (white dish pictured) the lobster bisque was not so good either. lobster was overly chewy & the pasta had a strong tomato paste taste. i should have went to big al’s or the gatsby instead.

This place is incredible. Fantastic atmosphere and filets that make your mouth water. Grab that triple chocolate cake it is to die for. LBV also features a pretty stellar wine selection. We make the drive down from Pittsburgh just for dinner here and it is worth the trip every time!

When my friend and I arrived, we stood by the hostess stand for a good 10 minutes. A waiter walked by us at least 5x, did not acknowledge us ONCE, until I asked him to find someone to help us after his 5th trip by us. An Oriental lady shows up and asks, "What do you want?!" I totally expected her to ask how she could help us, instead we we're presented with that statement. Honestly, I started to leave but my friend and I were in town for business, and we both really wanted a steak. We were told to come back in a half hour. My friend and I returned in a half hour, only to stand waiting again, only this time, there was another man waiting in front of us. The gentleman turned to us and said, "I've been standing here for 10 minutes and haven't seen ANYBODY with exception to a waiter who delivers food to the outside seating area." I laughed, without intent, and the gentleman looked at me funny. I said, "We had the same experience, sir." So,once AGAIN, I asked the passing waiter to get us help. The Oriental lady shows up again moments later, along with her horrible attitude, and basically gave the guy a hard time getting in because he "didn't have a reservation!" He was directed to come back in a half hour. It was a Wednesday night, it wasn't even busy. We were seated after she ran the other guy off who mumbled "f this" as he walked away. We sat across from one another after being seated, we were admiring the beautiful table setting, very elegant. I had hoped the dinner would match the table setting and not the rude help. I was hopeful. Our waiter was very attentive, got our order correct. (I left him a $10 tip! Who doesn't appreciate good help?) When our meals came, it looked very good. I ordered a 7 oz. filet, medium well. It was so tough, I couldn't even eat it!!!!!!!!! I was so disappointed!! My waiter notified his Mgr. that I only ate 1 bite of my overcooked filet. The Mgr., ( A man who's name starts with a B.... I apologize, but I can't remember his name) came to our table. You could tell he was trying to see if I was just trying to get a free steak, he even said that to me at the end of our conversation. He, very politely, refunded my money. He also let me keep the steak, so I politely accepted (I threw it away!! It was burnt!) The Mgr. was very sweet and even said to me, "I feel bad you didn't get enough to eat...." But honestly, the rest of my meal was very good and I did get enough to eat, just not the steak I really wanted. Lol Perhaps they were just having a bad day!?!?...

Not very “Classy” at all. We were so excited to finally eat at this restaurant but was very disappointed in our service. First our Waiter tried to rush us to order. Didn’t appreciate that but I guess we should had because then our waiter got 3 more tables and we were “Chopped Liver” to him! He knew the people at 2 of those tables and the third he probably thought he was going to get a great big tip from them from the way they were acting! So, we start out with the bread, no plates had to ask then had the chopped salad, it was suppose to come with bacon but no bacon, I told our waiter’s assistant and he said he would mention this to the kitchen. Then our petit filet and potato side dishes came out before we were done with our salads. I asked for medium and the filet came out medium RARE! I hate to send back because then the filet usually comes back well done. In this case it came out “Burnt” and half medium rare and half medium!! But I wasn’t going to send back again!! Mean time our salad dishes were still on our table no sign from our original waiter because he was too busy trying to impress his regular customers and of course trying to get that big tip from the high rollers! I had to ask for more water, really!! We walked away very upset with the over all service. Our meal cost $85.00 anywhere else we would have been treated a whole lot better for a high price meal!! And guess what, we were going to tip better than the usually 20% but had a hard time even leaving the 20%, but we did. So dumb of us for the way we were...

My other half and I ate here last night around 730p. Darren, Derrick.. something of that nature was our waiters name. Very disappointed w our service and food. Ordered water to drink, had to ask 3xs for a refill. Completely ignored us and pd more attention to the larger party sitting in the back of the room behind us. Many times walking right past us leaving dirty dishes, unfilled water glasses and items he forgot. We asked for a simple side of olive oil to have w our bread.. butter and a small sample of habernero butter. We had to ask 3xs for all items..and his response was, ohh I forgot. After we finished dinner w our airline chicken and chicken w lemon and capers..which was dry as hell, our dirty dishes remained on the table. He finally came around to ask if we wanted dessert. He dropped our check WITH THE DIRTY DISHES STILL ON THE TABLE. No prebus or anything. At a fine dining restaurant that is NOT the protocol. Even at ANY restaurant a good server knows that is soo taboo. We had our money waiting on the table..after 10 more minutes and he walking right past us to cater to the big party.. we left our bill w cash and tip. We intended on giving him a higher tip but after being ignored and not getting change to leave a bigger amount we left him 15%. He lost out! Staff, especially him needs to learn to be attentive and offer guests 5 star treatment besides learning the steps to take for a restaurant. Poor service and poor food. Won't be back. It's...
