Steelhead Tavern — Restaurant in Grants Pass

This is one of those places that always feels like home. The regulars always remember you even if you haven't been in for a month or two. We like to go for karaoke. Through the years as it has changed hands and operates a little differently and has had a different type crowd. You may get something new or different. Most recently there has been a really great KJ. The outdoor patio is gorgeous.The new owners have updated it.There's a fire pit that goes through the cooler season. Which is the best thing ever to go out around the fire with a drink, or food, listening to music and visiting with people. Lots of seating. At times through the years they have had steak dinners. Sometimes they only have fryer food or tacos with prepped filling. At this moment i'm not sure what type of food they are going to serve. Though I did see that they are going to do a fish fry on friday's with music! They always have popcorn available for free. Drink prices are good.The bartender is always friendly. I was here over the weekend with my friend and the bartender was rude. They tried to cash us out when we were trying to order another round and made a face when they realized we weren’t leaving, it was 11 and I was told they closed at 12. Stopped at this funky bar for cool beverages on a 108 degree day. The atmosphere is classic 1950's bar with pool tables and old fashioned bar stools and beer coolers.
