I wanted to give this place a shot today, first time trying them out. I'm not sure if this was a one off bad experience or what happened, but I'm extremely disappointed. I ordered the half pound of fried scallops to go, and I understand that with the ten minute commute back home, they won't be "fresh and crispy" any longer...but when I tell you I popped open their container and there was a huge puddle of liquid at the bottom, I'm not exaggerating. This picture is after I air fried them for a bit, patted them dry and then fried again, but there was really no saving it. Maybe different packaging might help, or breading. Not sure what the solution is but honestly for the price, they should not have been so slimy. On the bright side the slaw was quite good.

First and foremost this is a locals place. It's not on the water or anywhere near the water. It's not meant for tourists, it's meant for locals. They are open year-round. They are predominantly a seafood market on one side and an informal restaurant on the other. The restaurant features hard metal chairs and the kind of folding tables that you see at a flea market. Not a problem because that's not the point. The food is what matters here and everything we had was delicious. The fried clams were great with crumbs, the Steamers were delicious, lobster dinner was great and the seafood chowder was also very good. The servers we encountered were very nice and eager to help. Go here for the food and the fair pricing and ignore the ambience.

During a drive from Boston to Arcadia, my group was hankering for fresh seafood from a no thrills restaurant. Fishermen's Net was the PERFECT choice! The restaurant looks more like a community center than a restaurant, and I knew immediately this was going to be an authentic experience. The patrons are all locals. This is not a tourist trap. This is just a simple restaurant to get great and local seafood at a very reasonable cost. I would highly make a visit to this place if you're looking for seafood in a casual setting. Note: they also have an entire section dedicated to takeout, and although I didn't purchase anything, everything looked great!

I had the clam chowder and my husband had coconut shrimp with fries. The chowder was absolutely delicious! There broth was so tasty and there plenty of potatoes and clams. The coconut shrimp was fluffy and crisp. It didn't taste greasy as it sometimes does with other restaurants. The fries were fantastic! Hot, fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I highly recommend this place. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the prices were reasonable. We had lobster rolls yesterdayin Bar Harbor, ME. They weren't nearly as good as the food at fishermen's net and were way overpriced. I'm so pleased we stopped at fishermen's net today. It's the New England seafood experience we were...
