Tucked in the back corner of the GNG shopping center is this quaint little Brewery name Birchwood Brewing. What an awesome find I think I found my new favorite place. The owners are very friendly locals. He is a veteran who I believe is also the brewmaster. I had a flight of beers in the flight I believe there were six beers and two waters for cleansing. Hands down the best beer there was the red beer. It didn't seem like any red beer I've ever had before because it lacked the bitter taste that comes with it. They only serve fresh baked pretzels but the owner encouraged us to order takeout and eat it there. That actually worked out really well we order the pizza from Jess and Nick's and ate it while we watch the band. I never went to the previous establishment but I'm told this is nothing like it used to be. The interior has nice tables and many of them had cribbage boards in cards to play. The walls have some milled metal art of wildlife. As if that wasn't enough I believe this place to be pet friendly we saw a couple pets on leashes while enjoyed our dinner. This is a good little spot I didn't get too crowded we never had to wait for drinks and the drinks were amazing.

This place is easy to find, access, and exit. It is fully handicapped accessible. There's lots of seating options here; inside or outside in front or the back patio. Nice selection of good beers and excellent pricing. There's plenty of bar food options as well. Quick, responsive service with a smile can be expected here. Regular live music makes this spacious industrial design a great choice for a night out. The only things I found lacking was comfortable seats for a long stay and only one toilet each for the restrooms. If you found this review to be helpful please consider adding a thumbs-up. 👍 You can always check out my 100s of other reviews.

Their beer is really good... I'm not a big stout person but their peanut butter nitro stout is one of the best l've ever had! Their food not so much. The mozz sticks were a big mess and chewy despite looking overdone. My husband got chicken tenders and the batter was falling off of some and they were quite greasy. Also, our food kind of took awhile to come out despite the fact it didn’t seem that busy. I’ll go back but for the beer only

We absolutely LOVE Birchwood Brewing. We call it our local "Cheers", and feel right at home each and every visit. Our daughter now lives in DC and every trip home, Birchwood is her first request. We started going years ago, the week they opened. I planned a surprise birthday party for my Fiancé here on Saturday, and it was an absolute HIT with family and friends. The food, the drinks, the easy parking, the service by Miranda Wood...(who ran circles around us to ensure all of our guests were happy), was nothing short of fantastic. Stacy, one of the owners, has ensured a fantastic team and wonderful experience for her patrons, and we are SO appreciative. My Fiancé' would not have wanted his surprise party at any other place. This is home for us and we absolutely love it and all of the people who make it so special. Cannot thank you enough. #customersforlife #topnotchservice #topnotchbrewery #justlikehome #bestservice #bestbeer...

Excellent atmosphere and good beer. Very nice amenity for this area. Staff was very friendly, the place wasn't overly crowded, and the other patrons were a nicer crowd than I'd expect for the area. The food unfortunately was a huge disappointment. The wraps are lackluster at best and the special "drunken tots" (some sort of tater tot and cheese amalgamation) that were recommended to us by staff were bordering on inedible. It's fairly clear why this is too, I'm fairly certain that the kitchen isn't effectively much more than a toaster oven. Despite my grievances with the food it's certainly a place I'll go back to for a drink and that I'd recommend visiting if you're not particularly hungry. I'll also admit that perhaps we just got unlucky with what we chose to order, and if I go back and try some of the paninis and things that other people have said good things about in other reviews I will update my review and rating to...
