Family Diner — Restaurant in Grayville

Pretty good for a small operation in a very quiet town. Country fried steak was easily the best part. Worst was the wait: it might have been close to a half hour before our food arrived and besides one other couple, we were the only ones in the place when we arrived. Really don't have any idea why it took so long, unless being out of towners slowed down the cook's mojo (the waitress really did seem to know a lot of people by name as they started arriving after we had, as other reviews noted). I was working in the area and googled a place to eat and found this place. I didn't know what to expect from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and food. The waitress kept my water full and brought me more napkins when she saw that I needed them. 😅 They had a fried fish and fries lunch special and I got the one with 2 pieces of fish. It was only 12.99

Wife wanted a horseshoe so she called to see if they served that they did so we stopped by. I got one too. Supposed to come on toast. Hers was on a top bun, mine was on a bottom bun. Fries were barely enough to get around the hamburger patty in a single file. $16 a piece and was still hungry when i left. Mind you this is a small town.
