Peking Gardens West — Restaurant in Great Falls

Very sad to have a bad customer experience. Our family has been coming here for 40 years. We dine in, and sometimes order take out. In the past they have been wonderful to stop in and get some egg rolls, appetizers, or a larger order. The food is good. But today we stopped in like usual to get a few things to go a small easy order of egg rolls and a large container of white rice. I was shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The egg rolls for three were $8.25 which is fine because prices have gone up, but when the cashier said that would be TWENTY SOMETHING DOLLARS I thought she made a simple mistake BUT NO! The charge for a larger container of white rice WAS $12!!!!!!!!!!!!! They explained $3 per cup, four cups is $12 no budging. After I went home my sister called to confirm and spoke with the owner. The owner confirmed that A SUDE OF WHITE RICE IS TWELVE DOLLARS!!!!!!!! Raise the prices you need to but don’t gouge white rice. Sadly after many years we won’t be going back after this terrible experience. We had a special dinner planned to go there next week as a family, now..... we’ll be going to the 3D for the Mongolian grill. So sad after decades of being customers. No more won...

I saw the reviews on it and thought I’d give this restaurant a try, The people who answer the phone were very polite when I called to order my food. When my food got here me and my husband were having a hard time eating the chicken because it was a lot like stale beef jerky. I called them to inform them that the chicken was chewy and we were unable to eat it. I also told him I’m sorry for calling and putting in a complaint but I felt that you guys should know that the chicken Was hard to chew. The manager went on about how you can’t leave it out or it will get chewy and hard, I told him that we were eating it right when I got here and he continued to say that maybe I should’ve ordered something else instead of fixing there mistake, I even had the chicken ready in the fridge to give back to them so that they can see that I wasn’t lying, But he continue to say that next time I order I should ask them to cook it properly instead of fixing there mistake. So not impressed. The chow mein looked like it had been chewed up and then piled on a plate, literal mush. They brought it all the food but our 4 year olds and we waited for 5 minutes until we had to get up and ask where his food was and then they grabbed it and brought it out. The chicken was as dry as the desert too. We asked about our check and we were told we could get up to go get it if we wanted to. The entire wait staff at next to our table and ate and talked. I didn't even get what was supposed to come with my entire meal. We never got refills much less asked if we needed anything or if the food was even good. Oh and the first table we sat at was like a spinning top that was going to topple over if you pushed your water to far over. Apparently it had been known but they were totally okay with letting us sit down to find that out. I wish I had something...
