I think the fact that I have eaten from Scott's Subs the number of times I have, and haven't taken the time to write a review before now is criminal. Put me behind bars! I first tried Scottās Subs a few years back when my then-employer had catered from the DePere location. I was shocked when I saw the subs because they look a lot different than the long submarine ones you would find at most places. Thatās not at all a bad thing though. Fast forward, and I had found out that they would be opening up a new location in East Green Bay. Just around the corner from my workplace too. I couldnāt have been more excited! I think thereās no comparison when I say that Scottās Subs has the best quality and best tasting subs in town. The bread is fluffy, the veggies are fresh, and you can really taste the salt and pepper! My personal favorite is The Club. Iām also a big fan of the ice cream. They serve flavors that nobody in town has served since Hansenās closed down. Unfortunately, I havenāt yet gotten a chance to try the pizza. There are actually quite a few things on the menu that Iād like to try, but itās so hard to push myself to do it when I love my regular order so much. Iāve been making it a point for months now to try and come in weekly. If money grew on trees, Iād be in more often than that, Iām sure. Itās gotten to the point where the Owner knows me by name. Which by the way, the customer service is great! Everyone is friendly and well organized. Sometimes the place can get pretty busy during the lunch rush and the line will get long, but itās pretty easily avoided if you take advantage of their online ordering service. Now when I go to get takeout, Iām in and out in no more than a minute regardless of how busy it is. Easy 5-starts for me. There arenāt too many places that I find myself constantly wanting to come back to. I highly recommend Scottās if you like subs.
Edit: If I had to make any recommendation, it would be for them to start offering a punch-card or possibly a points based rewards system for their frequent customers. Just a little extra incentive to keep people coming back. Most restaurants have them nowadays. They do offer the option of creating an account on their website, but as far as I can tell, the only real benefit is that they will send you an email about their occasional...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a truck driver you'd be surprised how many times you get denied delivery because you are sitting in a parking lot. After a long day you dont want to have to deal with that.
I just tried out Scott's Subs today. It is nicely located right next to the Kwik Trip which gives drivers options! KT has really leaned on their deep fried junk and lack healthier options. It was nice I was able to walk right over. It was not busy at all and of course being a brand new place it was nice and clean.
I ordered #57 and it was the first time trying any of their food. Short time later I took my order and walked back to my truck. The "look" of the sub was different than you'd expect. I didn't notice if there was size options but it looked to have came as a 6" cut at a slight angle. The sandwich as a whole was flatter than I imagined it would be. It was wrapped in a sort of plain white paper. Not off putting by any means. Just different. It was a different, clean look with no extra gimmicks. The sandwich tasted great and I felt that all the ingredients were nice and fresh and placed perfectly. Despite the size I did feel full and actually felt it was perfect size with chips and a drink. I had gotten lemonade which also tasted great. Usually other places with fountain drinks end up having a weird taste. That could be from over time. I also got the sweet Maui onion chips. I thought they were alright. I am really not big on sweet/salty flavors, but I didnt see anything else I'd like at the time.
All and all I am thankful for the options and I enjoyed the sandwich and would recommend other drivers support them. I dont mind walking but having the option right there is a huge plus to try and get away from gas station food. I wish this place luck and hope they can work out any of the kinks that may have come up in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur family visited Scott's for the first time today to celebrate a special occasion, and I was impressed! Their subs are fantastic; the bread is fresh, soft, and full of flavor. However, I believe the experience would be even better if the subs had a closed-end, as my fillings did spill out the bottom. They load on the lettuce. It's literally busting out all over. If you prefer less, definitely, ask for "light lettuce.""
Regarding the pizzas, they are on par with any store-bought options priced at $7.00 or $9.00. The $16.00 price tag for a 12-inch pizza feels steep to me, but we decided to give it a shot. Honestly, unless youāre keen on spending $16 for a handmade version of something you can easily find in the store, it might not be worth it. All in all, it was a good trip, definitely worth the drive...
