This is the second HYD'n location that we have gone to and this one is even better than the first. Wife and I are pizza foodies and since we were sort of in the neighborhood (45 mins away) we wanted to try this out. We had such a great pizza at their Federal Highway location that we thought that since was a real Sit down / full service location, it would be even better... We were not wrong.
Chicken wings were AMAZING!!! Oven baked on the outside and tender and tasty on the inside... Completely nailed it! Ranch dipping sauce was sooooo good I wanted to drink it. Pizza sizes are different here than at the Federal Highway location (this caters more to the Take-Out crowd)... They serve 12" & 14" pies where at Federal Highway 16" & 18" pies.
We ordered 2 x 12" pies and were stuffed... OG for one pie and Classic Pepperoni for the second one (no onions)... undercarriage was amazing... Even though the crust is really thin, the undercarriage is NOT soggy... Really good eating!
To top things off, service was fenomenal... Our server was Haley and she could not have done things better... very professional, courteous and efficient. Great member of the HYD'n team. To our surprise, Alex, the server from Federal Highway was there yesterday... had a great talk with her... she even remembered our order from the first time we were there.
PS... one piece of constructive criticism... Buy some wine glasses... drinking wine in small water glasses is...
Read moreOur first time trying this place it was an interesting Sunday night. Lots of families, loud noise, and yelling kids from all the other tables. we were a tablen of 12, and don't get me wrong, we were loud as well. We started with three of the salads. An arugula, a Ceasar, and a Chopped Salad. The Chopped could have used a little more meat but large enough for all of us to share the 3 salads. We followed with all of the 4 On Toast options as appetizers. and an order of the meatballs to try. They were good, and it went well with the sauce. Drinks are more artisan tea boxes with no refills, and the soads were served in cans. This was followed by 4 pizza pies and three orders of their special wings. The wings were good. Lots of heat with the side of calabrian chili pepper. I wish there were a few more on the plate, but there were about 8 per serving of wings. The side of the aioli was good but not for everyone at the table.. The brick oven runs at 660 degrees and rotates with up to t pies at a time. My daughter explained the pizza as naan like dough. The soft crust was nice. The different sauces were very tasty. I liked the hot honey as it was the most different of the pies. Now that the table of 20 has left behind us. we can hear each other. We tried the chocolate chip sourdough cookie with vanilla gelato.
Service was wonderful, and the place is a great spot for a quick meal.as the pizza was...
Read moreI'm a retired hospitality executive. The other day, this great BBQ restaurant ( Mista Lees) that is my go too, suggested this new pizza place next door to get my vegetarian wife some dinner. The first thing I saw was an amazing rotating wood fire oven. I'm an extremely curious person and asked the owner about her oven. She was making all the pizzas, while having a conversation with me. Incredible! Their food coming out of their kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Their entire staff was helpful, pleasant and excited to work at this restaurant. I'm a retired hospitality executive; seeing how their staff communicates with their customers and first time patrons was all I needed to know that I will be coming back with my entire family and friends to support a local business. The owner suggested I get the OG for my wife. She loved it. It was her first time ever having a wood fired oven pizza. Besides all the fresh vegetables and wood fired crust, she ate the entire pie. I've never seen that in 35 years of marriage. For all the people that live within 30 miles of this pizza joint. Its worth the drive. Please support a local business that deserves to...
