Small but smoking! This little place slipped in this strip of stores on 441 and has all the charm and flavors of Texas and NC BBQ rolled up into one. We ordered the three meet plates with Ribs of the day (St Louis today) Brisket and smoked sausage that were perfectly made dry rub with choice of Sweet bbq or Mustard bbq sauce on the side on your plate. We went with the amazing beans and coleslaw, just so good I wanted to lick the bowl of the beans they were so good. Tried the cornbread that was smothered In a sweet butter. This is a place I could spend every week trying something new out of the smoker. We had a chance to meet Mistah Lee who was so gracious. He had us try his Smoked Pastrami Rib that was so full of flavor and so tender that you pulled the meat right of of the bone. We will have to make this a regular spot for us since it is nearby. indoor for a ouple of dozen folks to sit and outdoor seating. walk up to the counter and choose your next plater of meat! update... Today I went with the pulled pork sandwich and backed beans which was delicious! frends had the chicken a little small for the money but tasted good. It would be great of they offered some lunch specials.

The Best BBQ in Florida! An extensive Menu with selectible options. Brisket sandwich is full of flavor on its own. I purposely tried it with the coleslaw and pickle on the side. Downright delectable! The coleslaw is crisp, fresh and just the right amount of tanginess to add zest not take away or overpower or soak the sandwich. The pickles are crispy and full of a fresh bite. The buns seemed like they were just toasted and fresh with a nice firminess with still being soft The pulled pork sandwich is so soft and juicy; mouthwatering. Sauces deserve awards all on their own! Sweet and Savory - amazing, full of flavor and sweet but not overpowering. Perfection The Smoke - full bodied but again not over powering or too heavy on zest but a great BBQ sauce Carolina is nice and not too watery but full of bite and full bodied vinegary goodness For sides I tried the Mac and Cheese. Another great item, cheesiness without being too gooey and just the right amount of cooking to give it that slight BBQ char The Cornbread is downright like Grandma used to make from scratch. Sweet and solid not flakey or starchy. The right heavy food to soak up some sauce and fill you up right

Everything was outstanding. The customer service was very friendly and accommodating. Chef checked on us at our table, offering us a sample of their burnt ends 🤤, and the counter staff checked on as well, offering to clean up around us as we finished our stellar BBQ lunch. We ordered a half rack and a small brisket platter. The dry rub on the fall off the bone ribs was perfection and also a good portion, coming with 2 choices of sides which we chose the mac and cheese and baked beans. The macaroni was pasta shells with a slightly crusty cheese on top and very creamy throughout; the baked beans were something that you ponder the recipe ... very, very good and unique. We had the smoked sausage which came with a side sauce of something similar to a chimichurri. Excellent. The brisket was melt in your mouth, and we added the coleslaw and cornbread as the two sides. The coleslaw was another perfectly outstanding side made from scratch and very fresh. The cornbread was a break from what I think of, as it was more sweet and cake like with a syrup type glaze on top. We loved our visit and hope to be in that area again, because we would definitely pull in.

Finally got to check out Mistah Lee’s new location (8240 FL-7) with none other than Ellen Fried, South Florida’s Queen of Pastrami. I never got a chance to try his truck before, so this was the perfect intro.

The restaurant is tucked into a brand-new plaza off Route 7, a few minutes north of Bedner’s, right next to the new How Ya Doughn pizza spot.

What We Ate:

•Reuben: 8oz of smoked brisket pastrami on great rye bread. We had to ask for extra kraut and Russian dressing because the sandwich is all about the meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, strong on coriander, but I personally prefer a heavier peppery spice. Still, very high quality.

•Brisket: Good smoke, tender, but the deckle piece needed more bark.

•Ribs: These were the standout — excellent seasoning, bold smoke, and cooked ā€œfall-off-the-boneā€ style (which most folks will love).

•Chicken: Smoky, but needed a stronger rub.

•Pulled Pork: Lee gave me a sample — very good. I’d get a pork sandwich next time.

Sides:

•Mac and cheese (sharp cheddar, creamy) and mustardy potato salad were both winners.

•Collard greens were sweet and vinegary — not my favorite, but some will like the contrast.

Sauces:

While I’m more of a dry rub person, I liked the South Carolina mustard sauce much better than the Western Carolina blackstrap molasses version, which was too sweet for me.

Pricing:

•3-meat platter is $50 — includes 24oz of meat + two small sides. •Sandwiches run $16–$25 and come with one side. •Pro tip: if you’re sharing, ordering individual meat plates separately actually gets you more sides for just a few bucks more.

Overall:

Would definitely come back — next time I’ll focus more on the pulled pork and ribs. High-quality meats, good smoke, great sides. Just know going in that Lee’s style leans a little lighter on the rubs compared to hardcore BBQ spots, but the skill and care...
