Finally got to check out Mistah Leeās new location (8240 FL-7) with none other than Ellen Fried, South Floridaās Queen of Pastrami. I never got a chance to try his truck before, so this was the perfect intro.
The restaurant is tucked into a brand-new plaza off Route 7, a few minutes north of Bednerās, right next to the new How Ya Doughn pizza spot.
What We Ate:
ā¢Reuben: 8oz of smoked brisket pastrami on great rye bread. We had to ask for extra kraut and Russian dressing because the sandwich is all about the meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, strong on coriander, but I personally prefer a heavier peppery spice. Still, very high quality.
ā¢Brisket: Good smoke, tender, but the deckle piece needed more bark.
ā¢Ribs: These were the standout ā excellent seasoning, bold smoke, and cooked āfall-off-the-boneā style (which most folks will love).
ā¢Chicken: Smoky, but needed a stronger rub.
ā¢Pulled Pork: Lee gave me a sample ā very good. Iād get a pork sandwich next time.
Sides:
ā¢Mac and cheese (sharp cheddar, creamy) and mustardy potato salad were both winners.
ā¢Collard greens were sweet and vinegary ā not my favorite, but some will like the contrast.
Sauces:
While Iām more of a dry rub person, I liked the South Carolina mustard sauce much better than the Western Carolina blackstrap molasses version, which was too sweet for me.
Pricing:
ā¢3-meat platter is $50 ā includes 24oz of meat + two small sides. ā¢Sandwiches run $16ā$25 and come with one side. ā¢Pro tip: if youāre sharing, ordering individual meat plates separately actually gets you more sides for just a few bucks more.
Overall:
Would definitely come back ā next time Iāll focus more on the pulled pork and ribs. High-quality meats, good smoke, great sides. Just know going in that Leeās style leans a little lighter on the rubs compared to hardcore BBQ spots, but the skill and care...

We ordered the three meet plates with Ribs of the day (St Louis today) Brisket and smoked sausage that were perfectly made dry rub with choice of Sweet bbq or Mustard bbq sauce on the side on your plate. We went with the amazing beans and coleslaw, just so good I wanted to lick the bowl of the beans they were so good. Tried the cornbread that was smothered In a sweet butter. This is a place I could spend every week trying something new out of the smoker. We had a chance to meet Mistah Lee who was so gracious. He had us try his Smoked Pastrami Rib that was so full of flavor and so tender that you pulled the meat right of of the bone. We will have to make this a regular spot for us since it is nearby. indoor for a ouple of dozen folks to sit and outdoor seating. walk up to the counter and choose your next plater of meat! update... Brisket sandwich is full of flavor on its own. I purposely tried it with the coleslaw and pickle on the side. Downright delectable! The coleslaw is crisp, fresh and just the right amount of tanginess to add zest not take away or overpower or soak the sandwich. The pickles are crispy and full of a fresh bite. The buns seemed like they were just toasted and fresh with a nice firminess with still being soft
The pulled pork sandwich is so soft and juicy; mouthwatering.
Sauces deserve awards all on their own!
Sweet and Savory - amazing, full of flavor and sweet but not overpowering. Perfection
The Smoke - full bodied but again not over powering or too heavy on zest but a great BBQ sauce
Carolina is nice and not too watery but full of bite and full bodied vinegary goodness
For sides I tried the Mac and Cheese. Another great item, cheesiness without being too gooey and just the right amount of cooking to give it that slight BBQ char
The Cornbread is downright like Grandma used to make from scratch. Sweet and solid not flakey or starchy. The right heavy food to soak up some sauce and fill...
