Caretti's Pizza and Ristorante — Restaurant in Greene Township

This is one of the worst places to eat. The owner so he claims was very rude and nasty. They had someone working there as he stated for a few days just to help out the family. He used his bare hands to handle everything including food. I watched him use his bare dirty hands to dig out the toppings and spread them on the pizza with no gloves. He wiped his nose with the back of his hands then proceeds to put pizza in the oven with the same hands. I asked for my money back because I was completely turned off. The owner yelled at me and wanted to argue and told me they don't want my kind in there anymore. It is my pleasure not to give them anymore money after seeing what I saw. I am disgusted that I ate from this place and they do not practice food safety at all. When I told him it was food safety to wear gloves and or wash your hands before dealing with food. He said "You care but I don't" I'm the owner and my word is law!!! I kept telling him I'm not going back and forth with him. He just wanted to argue but him nor the hole in the wall is worth that energy. People please what I saw you would vomit. All your food is being handled with bare hands. He said the oven is 475° and the heat will kill the germs....

Ok I was thinking of getting a tuna salad sandwich. They have gluten free rolls. Great So I asked the ingredients in the tuna salad. I could not hear with all the background noise. Or even understand him due to his accent. Or poor English?? So I said huh .well he hung up on me . Wow I was not expecting that. I have to check on ingredients in some foods due to my allergies . Been there before had gluten free pizza . Ok Guess I won't be going back. After that experience. Hanging up on customer . Gluten free food cost more .to begin with. There are other restaurants in town that offer it as well ..((((( My apologies you are correct .I did not realize There were 2 hopefully there not the same owners. However I've been to your location And you guys get 6 stars. Food was good and very friendly there . Now if you offer gluten free rolls and pizza that would be awesome. Sometimes I'll will eat a regular roll to much I'll have side effects from the gluten. The other place we'll I will go there in person and tell them. I'd just like to start off by saying that I order from this establishment at least 2-3 times per week depending on what I have going on as they're the only place that delivers to me. This week we ordered food and made a specific request about a food allergy, called in and was told it would be made right as long as we called in and gave our name they would remake our food since we weren't able to return at the time for replacement food. We called back in a few days later to have our food remade and when we called we were told we would have to speak to the manager and as soon as this man got on the phone he didn't say hello or any other kind of greeting, immediately started pressing the issue. Upon explaining the issue he was very rude about making our food again and argued about the fact that they did not mess up our food. I will not be a returning customer after this incident. As the manager running this establishment showing blatant disrespect and blatant disregard for customer safety I cannot see myself coming back. The food has always been hit or miss so I can't really say I'll miss their food...
