Old Rangers Inn — Restaurant in Greene Township

Old Rangers Inn is an old style pub restaurant it is not a Inn! Meaning that Inn is only part of the restaurant’s name. Do not expect anything modern about this place this is a throwback that you’ll be glad that you tolerate it you can still smoke in here you can still enjoy your life and here you can have a beer and everybody knows everybody in here and if you’re nice I’ll get to know you too. So why am I making this place a five-star place because the food here is delicious it’s American it’s no holds bar and it is affordable if you don’t believe me go there and get their prime rib and then come see me. With a place like this so close to the campsites you go close your fire enjoy the woods and when you get hungry come eat here it’s actually cheaper to eat here then to carry all of your stuff over there now this is what I call camping. Do not go in there expecting that you’re gonna find fancy things but the things that you will find or a high-quality don’t know what else to tell you except for this is a diamond in the rough emphasis on the rough, excellent food and amazing nice people. Francesca is the sweetest waitress that you will ever have, she is an amazing person with lots of positive energy. If I could move this place closer to my home I'd eat there every night. Did a ribeye special first night and it was out of this world! Perfectly seared crust and a very flavorful and tender cut. About an inch thick give or take. I usually go rare or medium rare but on a piece with more fat I'll go medium so the fat renders. And I'd say that was a perfect choice. Salad bar was included and I also got fries which were also perfectly cooked.

Night two I had a the prime rib special. Came with salad bar. Prime rib was almost 2 inches thick. Flavorful and cooked to absolute perfection. I hit the salad bar and tried the seafood salad. And I had to take half of my common cut prime rib home because it was so good I had a second scoop.

We heard about the old ranger inn from a friend who gave it great reviews and decided to try it out on a Saturday night. I have to tell you our friend was right. The place is rustic which we like. We had the prime rib which was out of this world. The staff was super friendly and checked up on us to see if we needed anything but they were not overbearing. We had a great meal and the price for what we got was super reasonable. If you want a great place to hang out and have a phenomenal meal this is the place to go. If you are going to have a party of 4 or more please call to be sure they have a seat for you, we just took a chance and lucked out that the dinner crowd was just about done.
