I have been a loyal patron of Ringside Restaurant for over three years every time I came to the lake I stop, and it pains me to write this review. Over time, I have witnessed a consistent and concerning decline in the overall management quality of this once-promising establishment. My recent experience on a Friday night was particularly disappointing, leaving me baffled by the questionable decisions being made.
One of the most glaring missteps was the sudden elimination of all deep-fried appetizers from the menu. It's hard to comprehend the logic behind such a drastic move, especially when these appetizers were a popular and consistent favorite among customers. Removing these items felt like a misguided attempt at innovation, bordering on business suicide. I find myself questioning whether the manager is either oblivious to the preferences of their clientele or intentionally sabotaging the business's success.
It's disheartening to see such a lack of insight into what has made Ringside Restaurant a destination for so many in the past. The absence of deep-fried appetizers was not only a letdown for regulars like myself but also a sign of deeper issues within the management. A restaurant that fails to understand and cater to the preferences of its loyal customers is on a dangerous path.
While I acknowledge that change is sometimes necessary in the restaurant industry, it should be approached thoughtfully and with consideration for the patrons who have helped sustain the business. In my view, retaining the existing management team without addressing the ongoing decline in service and decision-making could lead to long-term negative consequences.
Ringside Restaurant still possesses potential and a foundation that drew me in as a customer. However, I implore the owner to take a closer look at the current management practices and the disconnect between their decisions and the desires of their clientele. A revitalization of the menu and a more customer-centric approach are essential steps to ensure the continued success of this establishment. As someone who has invested time and loyalty into Ringside Restaurant, I hope my concerns are heard and acted upon before...
Read moreI make a special trip to Ringside every time I'm at Lake Wally to have pizza with artichokes on as this is a little different to the norm. This one is delicious and I've ordered it since I started going there when it opened a few years ago. When asked about it, the waitress was rude and said "we dont do it anymore" after I explained that's why I come here and that it's so disappointing. A "so sorry you're disappointed" would have been nice and even a reason why it was no longer offered would also have made me feel better seeing as I explained that's why I had frequented the place since they opened. This was a highlight for me at the lake but now they've lost a very loyal customer, I will not be going back They could at least offer it as part of the "make your own". That would make sense to me. And even the chicken wings that were beautifully sauced before with sesame seed on top was a hit, also gone. Think this place changes the menu quite a lot which may suit some but there are faithfuls like us that enjoy what we enjoy. And then to add $0-75 per sauce and charge extra for house sauce. What is house sauce? The wings were bland and had no sauce on. They were dry and we were asked what sauce we wanted, ranch, sweet chilli. We said yes to both of those and then saw you get charged for that and a house sauce which I never even tasted. So simply a way to make extra money. So we were cheated as where do you go where chicken wings are dry and not sauced and you pay for the sauce as an extra. What's sad, is that during the off season when the place only has a handful of guests in it, we'd always be there...
Read moreI want to give a lower score. But their desire to ensure customers are satisfied and the willingness to admit when they screwed up won in this scenario. It's not the best star score I could give, but it's def not the worst and I think is a fair assessment for my experience.
I finished work after a 14 hour day 45 minutes from the store. We ordered so I could pickup on the way home, and got the in about 40 mins, the food was supposed to have been ready 10 mins before I got there. I arrived to be told 15 more minutes, then 5 minutes multiple times until the worker told me he was sorry and that there was a large order, and a error on his end. They were great in they asked if I were still willing to wait and informed me they'd be paying for my meal. I saw they were super busy and appreciated his honesty.
The good, the knockout fries are amazing but sadly were cold from the wait.
The pizza was a little burnt on one half and the chicken bacon ranch pizza turned out to be a chicken bacon ranch flatbread ( I kept it as it's the same thing and they were covering the tab). Though they had issues the food was still good and hit the spot.
The wait was over an hour. I was tired and annoyed and decided I would wait to do the review so I wasn't overly critical.
Food 3.5-4/5 because of the burnt, cold, and mixup.
Service about a 3-3.5/5 this time because of the willingness to apologize and going the extra mile for the customer even though they had issues.
The last time we came here we had a little bit of a wait as well but nowhere near as bad. And the food was considerably better prepared so busy times may be...
