What a way to start a new year of finding new places to eat. Had some chores to do and since my wife passes this daily and it has won several local accolades we decided why not

A smallish dining room greets you maybe only 20 tables and the bar but service is quick so not much of a wait but now that we have eaten there.. who cares about the wait.

A super friendly waitress came by for our drink orders and shortly after our orders. Wife had the Piggy. 2 scrambled, bacon, hashbrowns, red onions and sausage gravy on a grilled biscuit. I decided to go all out and go with chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, 2 over medium, with sausage gravy over a grilled biscuit. BEST CFS I have had outside of Texas. Everything on this plate was homemade and I got one can now say I have had the best eat out breakfast I have had in NH. Snuck a few bites off wife's plate and can say it was awesome as well. Service was unobtrusive, friendly as can be and when she asked if I wanted a drink refill I asked if I could get it to go which was happily done. I REALLY wanted to give a bad review so people would stay away allowing me easier access to my new favorite place to eat breakfast as I cannot wait to try their other offerings. Prices are right inline with other places but for the taste, amount of food you receive and the great service this place is a standout.

6/24 - still a standout. Have eaten here at least 10 times now and still haven't had a bad meal or service. The Piggy will full you up till supper and the wait...

I have been to The Countryview a handful of times since it has been under new ownership. The upgrades to the menu as well as the location have been great improvements. The food is homemade and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The look of the place on the inside and out, down to the actual menu look, have all been coordinated in a central theme and colors. It is a fun place to have breakfast or lunch. I have had some great meals ranging from a very satisfying buffalo burger topped with pulled pork (the Piggy Back Burger) to a steak bomb scrambler. The specials menu over Labor Day Weekend would make many a man salivate with many meat items listed but still with many other options to appeal to all types of appetites. The service has always been friendly, sometimes to the point where you might wait a few extra minutes while they chat up their customers. One thing that I have had very limited success in is getting my starch done as requested. Be it home fries, French fries or hash browns, they rarely ever come out well done or crispy as requested. Overall I think the establishment offers great quality and quantity for one's dollar and I will return often for great food and service. P.S. The Monte Cristo offers...

Country View Restaurant (CVR) Located 692 Portsmouth Ave Route 33 Greenland NH 03840. My family and I recently stopped by for breakfast this Sunday morning 02/02/2020. Immediately greeted by staff as we walked in. Offered coffee while we wait to be seated. Small wait time to be seated but fast. Staff very helpful and accommodating our small family party by putting tables and chairs together for enjoyable breakfast! Staff clean organized friendly kind and well spoken! Breakfast menu drinks food awesome! Variety of items to pick from. Great tasting foods! Some minor mix ups with alot of food ordered, special requests but corrected quick and fast! Simply awesome! Our main server Natalie was A+ 5 Star rating, always making sure everything was great! Always checking in on us all! She was very nice friendly and a beautiful person! Same goes out to the entire help staff management and chef for making breakfast great! Always looking out for eachother and helping eachother!
