Horrible, horrible experience just now. Placed order at 6:05pm, was told 35 minutes. Fine, no problem. I stated I was a 1st time customer, and very excited to try them. Arrive 6:45pm. Order not ready yet. Order finally ready @ 7:05pm, fine. Upon paying, I realize the tab is slightly higher than it should be at $41.63. The total of my items per the menu is $37.00 Large 1 topping pizza: 1/2 pep, 1/2 sausage $12.00 Philly steak and cheese $8.00 Gyro Stromboli $9.00 Spaghetti with meatballs and cheese $8.00 $37 + 6.75% tax($2.50)= $39.50 I first ask if the prices are current and the menu is correct. Employee says yes, they are. I explain that I’ve been overcharged by $2.13, and would he please take a second look at my receipt. We break it down item by item, and go over the price of each, adding them up. 3 items are fine, then we get to the pizza. He says “Large 1/2 pep 1/2 sausage, $14.95” I reply no, it’s a Large 1 topping for $12. He says, “no, a half and half is 2 toppings, it’s $14.95” (Which by the way is incorrect as well- per the menu, a Large 2 topping is $14) I said no, if it’s a half and half, I’m not getting 2 full toppings. 1/2 and 1/2 equals 1 topping. Employee states, “that’s how we do it here”. I say, well that is bullish!t, nowhere else in the pizza universe is that the case. I explained again I was a first time customer. If this was their policy, it’s a bullish!t one, but it should be posted online or on the menu. How is a first time customer supposed to know your intricate underhanded practices? I gave him the opportunity to make the situation right, apologize, explain further, or just refund the $2.13. None of which happened, just a dumb “deer stuck in the headlights” look, because someone called them on a bullish!t business practice. If that’s “how they do it”, that’s their prerogative- free enterprise, I’m all about it, but it’s my prerogative to never use them again, and and relay my absolute horse sh!t of an experience with them to all of my friends, family and coworkers. Such a shame. We were so excited to try a little “mom & pop” shop. We try like hell to support local and keep money in the community. Try like hell to use independents instead of chains. We do pizza and subs every 7-10 days, so that’s probably 3x a month at $40-$50 each time. Never again, 1st and last time. I hope an owner or management sees this and reaches out to clarify this situation. I’m sure you don’t care, but you’ve lost all our future business over $2. It isn’t about the $2.13, it’s about the principle of the matter, and doing the right thing. To add insult to injury, my wife and daughter absolutely loved the food. Thanks for the exceptional...
Read moreI read others say they have great table service. I wanted to take us to a nice sit-down restaurant. We got zero table service. We arrived around 5 pm & the place was empty. I had to put in our order at the counter as no one came to our table after sitting at the table for several minutes. After giving the lady our order and her repeating it, it didn't sound right, so I repeated it again two more times. I ordered a slice of pizza for my son, a ham and cheese calzone for my wife, and a sausage and cheese calzone for myself. The lady at the counter was very hard to understand. When our food finally came, my wife's ham and cheese calzone was only cheese. It had no ham in it. The marinara sauce that they served with it was directly out of the refrigerator and ice cold, so when you put that on your calzone, it was no longer hot. I've never gone to any pizzeria in my 65 years and had them serve me ice cold marinara sauce with my hot meal. I had their sweet tea, and it tasted like there was either soap or some kind of chemical in it. My son tells me his slice of pizza was good. I felt the slice of pizza was extremely expensive until we saw the size of it. That's the only thing I can say that's good, although I didn't taste it, my son did. It was basically a quarter slice of a pizza, maybe a little more. It looked fine with a decent amount of sauce and quite a bit of cheese on it. If you're looking for a nice sit-down restaurant with service, this is not it. Even when our meals were ready, she just set them on the counter in front of her, and we had to get up and go over and get them. We also asked for extra marinara sauce, and they did not give us any. I had to go back up and ask for that and some napkins as they hadn't given us any of them either. We will not be going back. They get one star for having tables, the second star for the pizza slice my son said was good. Minus a star for no service, minus a star for ice cold marinara sauce, minus a star for not getting my wife's order right even though I went over it three times...
Read moreI'm not a regular customer at this restaurant, but in the past I remember getting a sub here that tasted good, so I decided to get another one for lunch. I ordered an Italian sub combo. It comes with Italian meats, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. (Maybe onion, but my sub didn't have onion, so maybe not) There was so much mayo that both sides of the bun were saturated with it and each time I took a bite, the meats slid out the other end and I'd wind up with a mouth full of bread. I finally gave up because the bread broke apart and it was more difficult to eat it. I got a flimsy plastic fork and knife, took the bread away and ate the meat and toppings on the metal tray that my meal was served on.
There was no table service. They call your name to pick up your food when it's ready, you fill your own drink cups, you throw away your own trash.
We sat at a table near the door. Other customers waited in close proximity to order their food, so it felt crowded and uncomfortable. After the carryout rush died down, the cook and the man that took my order turned on some loud music that sounded like it was on one of their cell phones and began singing to the music. They were just having fun but it was unprofessional.
The seasoned fries were good and the soft drink was good, but the lid was very loose on the...
