This Naf Naf Grill is part of a Love's truck stop. I was skeptical about the food but my concerns were unfounded! The food tasted identical to the "regular" Naf Naf Grill locations I've been to.
I ordered a bowl with hummus (cool creamy and just enough garlic), rice, falafel (the five pieces were still crispy and warm), pickled red cabbage, pickled onions, and fresh cucumber salad. This was topped with a creamy garlic sauce. Everything tasted just like I expected and very fresh. It was a win!
Fans of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine that road trip cross country I urge you to check your food options before traveling if you did not know this Naf Naf existed!!! Ditto vegetarians!! Ditto meat eaters!! The food was very tasty. I wish the portions were bigger but I grew up eating Middle Eastern food in Dearborn Michigan. So I'm pretty biased and spoiled.
If you haven't tried Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food and you're near here, take a burger break and try a shawarma or...
Read moreWithin a week I have had two bad experiences. The first one was went to order my bowl they were out of couscous and that Izmir would be twenty minutes before it would be ready, now common sense would dictate that you would have another batch on stand by or once it gets below half you make another batch since it was during the lunch rush. The second time was today when I ordered my bowl with couscous and this time I added hummus and mind you when I asked her she never mentioned that there was a extra charge for ordering hummus. So when I checked out I was charged for a side of hummus and I asked what was that for I did order a side of hummus. She stated it was because I had added hummus to my bowl in which I replied that she never told me that it be extra when she added it because I wouldn’t have ordered it because I wouldn’t pay $1.50 for a tablespoon...
Read moreWe purchased 2 plates. We didn't want the sauce mixed all over our food, making it soggy & mixing all the flavors, so we asked for it "on the side." When we got to the register the "supervisor," Anna Gardner charged us for EXTRA sauces. I explained that we didn't get it on the plates, and we just wanted it on the side. She said that we got 7 extra sauces, which we clearly didn't & even showed her in the bag. Her response was, "Well, that's extra because the cups cost money," and she was extremely RUDE about it. Even talking trash as we were walking away!
I don't mind paying extra if we got something extra, but the sauces are supposed to be included.
CUSTOMER BEWARE, this place is already expensive & on top of it, they will try to squeeze every penny from you! $31.84 for 2 plates!
We like the food but we'll never go back! In this economy, it's...
