Freddie's BBQ — Restaurant in Greenville

We were in Greenville for the day, and decided to get something to eat. Google came up with Freddie's as an option, and we both love BBQ, so we went. Seeing the parking lot full, and some cars parked along the street, we knew it had to be popular, and parked my bike along the street too. It didn't take long to be seated with drinks, and once we ordered, our food was out in a reasonable time. I had a 4 ribs dinner, with fries and potato salad, my wife had a pulled pork sandwich. My ribs were fantastic, with no sauce (I ordered them "dry"), none needed. My wife said her pulled pork was also amazing. The sides were good. We didn't leave anything behind. Solid 4. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside is weathered and worn and the inside is new and clean.

It has more than just barbecue; a daily hot lunch with options for entrees and sides.

Desserts rotate as well.

We had a late lunch on our visit and missed the meatloaf. The cheeseburger is good. Fresh ingredients and dressed well. Crispy seasoned fries as the side.

The pulled pork was swimming in sauce. If you like it heavily sauced you will love it. The crinkle fries were just a tad undercooked today.

The ribs are St. Louis style. Meaty and plenty of them. They tasted good, most were tender. Get your sauce on the side.

Soft drinks in a can, tea and koolaid available.

Mains: Wings were seasoned perfectly and generously sauced. Fried chicken was amazing! Ribs had been smoked to fall off the bone levels. The cheeseburger was juicy and handmade!

Sides: Okra, greens, potato salad, and mac n cheese were all SOO good!

Desserts: We only got one peach cobbler and it tasted like your grandma made it! They also had a honey bun cake that sounds amazing but we were too full from the rest to indulge.
