A Hidden Gem in the Delta ā Review of Italianoās in Greenville, MS
Having dined at Italianoās in Greenville, Mississippi three times now, I can say with complete confidence that this charming local Italian restaurant is nothing short of exceptional. Each visit has only deepened my appreciation for their incredible food, warm hospitality, and consistently outstanding service. Whether youāre a local or just passing through the Mississippi Delta, Italianoās is a must-visit.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that feels both casual and specialāperfect for a romantic dinner, a family night out, or just a well-deserved meal after a long day. The staff is always welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, striking that perfect balance of professionalism and Southern friendliness.
Letās talk about the food, which is the real star of the show. On my first visit, I tried their Chicken Parmigiana, and it absolutely blew me away. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the mozzarella sauce and cheese rich and creamy without being heavy, and the chicken tender and flavorful. I left that night genuinely impressedāand curious to try more.
My second visit, I went with a classic: the lasagna. It was everything I hoped for and more. Layered with a well-seasoned meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and bubbling mozzarella, it had that homemade taste that transports you straight to a family kitchen in Italy. The portion was generous, and every bite was pure comfort.
On my most recent visit, I decided to get an appetizer. The Spinach and Artichoke dip was absolutely phenomenal definitely a great starter! I went with the Shrimp Scampi for dinner, and once again, Italianoās delivered. The shrimp were large, fresh, and perfectly sautĆ©ed in a garlicky white-wine sauce that clung beautifully to the pasta. It was elegant, flavorful, and satisfying.
Of course, no visit to Italianoās would be complete without starting with their wonderful salad and Garlic Breadācrispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and just the right amount of buttery garlic goodness. Pair that with a glass of wine from their well-curated list, and you're in for a treat.
But what really sets Italianoās apart isnāt just the foodāitās the consistency and heart behind everything they do. The service is always attentive, and they make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time. The waitstaff remembers your preferences, checks in at just the right times, and genuinely seems to enjoy being part of such a wonderful establishment.
Itās rare to find a restaurant that delivers exceptional quality, consistency, and hospitality across multiple visits, but Italianoās does just that. After three meals here, I can confidently say that this is one of Greenvilleās true culinary treasures.
If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine served with care and warmth, look no further than Italianoās. Iāll definitely be backāand next time, Iām...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreenville, Mississippi is not a big town but was extremely surprised to find an Italian restaurant that served food as good as any I've eaten in Europe and that includes Italy. Mike owns the place and his brother, Joe helps out. Wife had eggplant parmesan and I had the veal al casa. Both were well prepared dishes, tender and flavorful! My wife related she would have used the rest of that delicious bread to sop up the remaining superb bolognese sauce but she was stuffed. Then there was the tiramasu... Really, really good! She had a few bites and I happily wolfed the rest. We're just passing through town but next time we do we will definitely make this our dinner spot! The restaurant is located in a refurbished house and has a nice comfortable vibe. It's in an odd location behind a stripmall and just past the old Chinese cemetery historical marker (Chinese cemetery in Mississippi made me blink too) but there's signs on the street. Friday night so was filling rapidly. My thanks for a wonderful...
