I'm not one to write reviews but Poppy's more than merits one. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to operate a restaurant during the pandemic, let alone open one. The brisket was done to perfection and the smoke ring was on point. The burnt ends stole the show and were as tender and delicious as I've ever had. The bbq was great, with a sweet-n-smokey balance paired with that Eastern NC vinegar tang we all love and enjoy. The fries were seasoned and crispy. Their sauces are unique and compliment the meats well. The service was great and left nothing to be desired. So happy to have a well rounded bbq restaurant in the area offering more than just the traditional whole hog our area is known for and already inundated with. We will definitely make this place a staple for our family and guests...
