Ciconte's - Gibbstown — Restaurant in Greenwich Township

Monday night I ordered a fairly mediocre size order. Mind you I frequent this establishment at least once a week. I placed my order and then waited about 25 mins as requested to pick up. I then proceeded to wait another 35 mins in the store for my food. Of which people came in after me and left before me. Then to top it off after the extended wait to bring home food for my hungry kids, I checked the bag. Quart of soup - missing Extra dressing for salad - missing . Then I proceeded home and was at this point further enraged by one sandwich that was listed to come with sweet potato fries, did not. This was not the end. As the salad that was ordered, that was missing the dressing, was not even the correct salad. I don't know what's going on in this place but for someone who usually enjoys the food and spends a substantial amount of money there and lets the one or two screw ups go by the wayside was extremely turned off. To top it all off they were apparently so far behind that the manager -I guests was telling the counter girls to not answer the phones and take anymore orders. I don't ever do bad reviews but this was over the top. And...

I used to be a frequent customer but not any more. Frankly, ever since Al left this place it has gone down hill. Every time I order food for pick up it is never ready no matter how long I wait - EVERYTIME! The icing on the cake was today. I ordered 2 pieces of pizza and fries with wiz. I was told 20 minutes. I show up 25 minutes later to be told we're still waiting on your fries - okay no problem that will take 5 minutes tops assuming you didn't start them already. They were not busy at the moment and I proceeded to wait 20 more minutes, 15 of which they didn't even drop my fries while I stood there astonished how this could happen given how slow it was. I didn't even get an apology after they could see I was visibly frustrated. Yes, I waited 45 minutes for 2 pieces of pizza and fries (not the ones that go in the oven either, just regular fries with wiz). I'm done with this place and their lack of regard for customers time. Picked up a pizza today and while the food itself was solid — fresh, tasty, and piping hot (maybe too hot) — I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable seeing the conditions the employees were working in. It was 102°F outside, and easily hotter inside. No visible A/C or cooling setup, just heat radiating from the ovens and the summer sun. The staff was doing their best to stay friendly and efficient, but honestly, it looked miserable in there. It’s one thing for the pizza to be scorching — that’s expected — but the people making it shouldn’t have to suffer through unsafe working conditions just to keep things running. The food was good, but it left a bad taste in my mouth knowing the toll it’s taking on the team. Management really needs to invest in proper ventilation or cooling — no pizza is worth someone overheating. I hope they...
