Poor Gary's Pizza At-Vermilion — Restaurant in Greenwood Township

Buddy and I saw this place had good reviews so we thought we'd give it a try. We came in well before the dinner rush, trying to get in and back on the road. Place wasn't to busy when we walked in. Took 10 minutes to get menus from the staff. Put our orders in right away thinking it would be fast, wrong! Waited over a hour for 2 medium pizza's. I don't mind waiting for good food, but here's the cherry on top. Some locals came in and sat right next to us and got service right away. They got there drinks right away, and took maybe 15 minutes to get there pizza. Meanwhile we waited... and waited. Finally after a hour wait we got our pizza. Good pizza, but not worth the wait. Also we spent over $40 each and they still charge us a credit card service fee!? If you have a hour and a half of your life to waste give it a try, if not find something else. Won't...

I pretty much only get the house special at poor gary's. The others are good but that's my favorite. And there's the huge bamboozler Pizza and split that up into different kinds of pizzas. Also you can usually get 3 to 4 types of their pizzas Frozen for half the menu price! Thaw them out, put on a pizza stone at 525 ° and just as good as the fresh pizzas. Sometimes the Vermilion Club is so packed , and the wait times so long, that is the only option you have for something to eat. Now you wouldn't think a takeout shack would have an atmosphere but always very friendly and helpful no matter how...
