We lived in Texas for many years & loved TexMex. We really missed it when we moved here ... until we found Alicia's. It's now our Saturday lunch place. I love the Empanadas, Gorditas, & Huaraches, but my husband loves EVERYTHING & eats lunch there several times a week. He's such a regular that they cook a special dish of fried chicken, onions, & potatoes for him, not on the menu. I always get a side of the potatoes now, too. They're amazing. Read moreI know this is a good place, but was disappointed today at lunch. If you are vegetarian, you will have to either be a real stickler, since it is hard to avoid fatty foods. I wanted a bean burrito, rice and beans, with grilled vegetables, but was talked into some vegetables sitting on a fried bread soaked in fat, no rice. The only thing to enjoy were the refried beans, lettuce and avocado, which also has too much fat. I could have made a better choice, and am not so sure that would have been possible...

We also had some gorditas which weren't bad, but could have used a tad more flavor. The service was friendly and the place was full of Hispanic families (which seemed to be a good sign) :) Would definitely go back so I could try some more options!
