Heavy Brewing in Gretna is a must-try if you love wood-fired pizza with unique toppings! Every single pizza was delicious! 10/10 recommend. This is what we tried (with descriptions from their menu.) Heavy Luau - Smoked pork belly burnt ends, fresh cut pineapple, peppadews, cinnamon salt. Pickle Monster - A base of our pizza sauce and ranch are topped with Grande cheese, smoked pork belly burnt ends, kosher deli pickle chips, cream cheese and finished with a panko mix. Heavy Baller - Our house crust topped with sliced meatballs, pepperocinis, cream cheese and finished with our JTC seasoning. Churro Fries - Churro fries served with a side of house made icing. Feels Like Warm Apple Pie - Our house crust and cream cheese base is topped with cinnamon, apple pie filling and streusel crumbs. It's finished with house made icing. #gretna #restaurant #pizza #omaha

This place is one of the best craft breweries we have been to. We recently moved away from Gretna, but we came back over the holidays and were able to check out this new brewery. After trying all of their current beers, we liked every single one.. this has never happened at any other brewery. All the employees were so friendly and fun. We were even able to talk to the brewer, and learning about the process and history of this place is so neat. They are also serving some food which they pride themselves on the quality of ingredients, which is refreshing to see for a craft brewery. They have some interesting pizza selections and it is definitely a place to check out when you are in Gretna. Whenever we are back in town, we will definitely be making it a point to stop by at least once!

Went there on a Thursday night. It was crowded but service ran smoothly. Staff was efficient. I had the pilsner which was great. Pilsners are a hard beer to get right in my opinion. Place is very clean. The ordering system they used is fantastic. Scan the QR code, order what you want, it comes to your table. They know which table to bring it to based on the QR code. I suppose if those get mixed up it could cause an issue. While QR codes at restaurants are nothing new, I haven't seen then be used to identify who made the order. Nice. They had an individual playing some music. The one negative, is the acoustics aren't ideal. I'm not sure they can do anything about that given the structure they are in.

Food was great! buuuut service not so much. My bf and I went with my sister and her husband and we ordered separately from them. We scanned the QR code, paid for our food and even left a tip. Everything started off great, we got our appetizer right away. We waited for maybe 20-30 minutes and my sister and brother in laws food came out before my bf and I’s even though we ordered at the same time just separately. Another 10 minutes go by and nothing is being brought out. After a couple more minutes someone comes to our table with the WRONG pizza. We waited for maybe another 10 minutes waiting for our order and my bf decided to go to the counter to ask about our pizza. The worker tells him it’s heating up they just have to plate it. We waited ANOTHER 10 MINUTES and nothing was brought out. My brother in law had to go to the counter to ask them again for our pizza. The worker said they were waiting for our hot honey sauce to thaw out in order to serve our pizza. Another 10 minutes go by and we received our pizza with NO HOT HONEY. We ended up asking again and getting a small amount of hot honey that we paid extra for. First time here and it was not the...

A terrific space with a patio that was rocking. But that's where my positive comments end. They had no pizza because the pizza oven was broken, their system of ordering with a QR code we found out didn't work after trying it twice and putting all of our information. So we had to walk up to a counter to order and the young man who was at the counter was obviously out of his depth. As I was ordering, I noticed the food station in back of him was really dirty with food and past orders and scraps with a dirty rag in the midst of it. This was where they were preparing food. I ordered Buffalo chicken salad but had to pay extra for cherry tomatoes and green peppers. The counter that we ordered at didn't have any cups for our drinks so we had to go to another counter and wait in another line for cups our drinks. My salad came without green peppers that I paid extra for. All the tables seemed to be dirty. The place was loud. The music that played though was good. It was about $20 for my order. This is a brewery so the beers sounded interesting but I don't drink. To be honest I don't think...

We chose to have a triple birthday party at Heavy, and it was the best decision ever. Their order system made it effortless, the staff was SO nice and helpful, their drink selection is out of this world (HELLO go get the margarita on tap), and the food is so awesome! -the Thai peanut sauce gave friends an out of body experience, and I’m not exaggerating, they took some home!-

All in all, I think we found a venue for future gatherings, the event space is SO affordable! Also I kid you not, for having a kitchen staff of teenage boys, they were all so polite and helpful, willing to get what was needed in the moment. That’s not seen very often anymore! Y’all made the night special and we look forward to many more visits!

Oh I also have to add that the selection is INCLUSIVE, my disabled father who can’t drink, was able to have one of the options of NA beer present. To have MULTIPLE options for people is something else. Heavy Brewery is an...
