I've lived in Connecticut my entire life and have eaten at countless Chinese takeouts,buffets,eat in spots etc. Up until about 2021 in March I moved out to the Midwest and have Heavily missed Connecticut Chinese food, tonight me and my GF and son went out to this place to pick up our dinner that we ordered which goes as follows ( sweet and sour chicken, " dragon meets phoenix " as I call it, fried dumplings, egg drop soup and an order of crab rangoons ) it's been a LONG time since I've had " Americanized Chinese food " cooked so well!!! Every single item was amazing in it's own way and had me on my heels with every bite ! Not only was the meal amazing but every single item tasted perfect! The general tsaos chicken was a star! As were the shrimp which were perfectly spiced (: the fried rice that was alongside the sweet and sour chicken was delicious!! Going back to the Midwest will have me missing this place big time !! this place didn't disappoint in the slightest and our entire order came out to around $41 ! Excellent General Tso chicken, except very skimpy with the broccoli...1 floret cut in half. Steamed dumplings not so great. Filling and dipping sauce is good, but dough is way too thick. Pork fried rice and lomein barely have any pork or veggies in them and not much flavor. Very skimpy filling in Spring and egg rolls. Chicken fingers good, except not enough dipping sauce comes with it. Always run out before the chicken runs out ..and that's using it sparingly. Their Food is good. I like the lo mein and beef w chinese vegetables and crab lagoons. Their seafood dinner special is also good and good amnt of scallops .the chkn fingers w red sauce is very good. I just wish they were a lil bigger. The amount u get is worth it but I def would like them more if bigger....luke an adults f8ngers,not a kids lol but delicious Their won ton is good too.
