NESSP Sai Canteen — Restaurant in Groton

This is the 3rd time in a row that we are given either incomplete orders or wrong orders.. First, a combo pastry pack was missing, Second time, Someone else took our order, we asked a kid who's taking orders and he made us wait for 20 mins without even checking with any senior around. Then I asked someone else and he immediately checked and realized that was ready but seemed like someone picked up wrong order. Today, third time, We ordered poori with potato curry. When we picked the curry was missing and there was sambar instead. I know, We should have checked before picking it. But isn't it your responsibility to check in the first place???

We dint mind in the first two cases because it's temple canteen, but third time is a charm as they say. So I'm writing here.

If there are kids doing this, a senior should cross check before placing on the pick-up rack.

Please don't give incomplete, disappointing experiences to the people who come to temple and pray, and order food to both help the temple and enjoy tasty food.

Excellent food. Fair prices. Good vibes. No doubt that the place has become popular in no time. Limited but authentic preparation. Thanks to volunteers. Bigger kitchen and bigger dining hall - the message for faith and patience is all over.

The large hall provides lots of place for anyone who wants to sit and enjoy the food. We frequently visit here and noticed that lots of online order as well that they are fulfilling.

The idli, sambhar chatni (very soft and fresh) and dosa, poori are very good. They also have special preparations during Navaratri and other special occasions. Most of the time, some of the popular items like chola bhatura, vada pav gets over by the time we reach. The egg less cake is another item which intend to try but hardly available when we visit on Sunday afternoon.

Usual time is Saturday and Sunday but they do open on new year day with special meal program but it would be too crowded and haven’t been...

Home style food. I have been going to this place since they have started the canteen and undoubtedly the taste is the same. The most important thing I wonder about that, all people who work here are volunteers(they offer a Seva) but still the service is so much better than any restaurant. They are only open on weekends. This place serves yummy south indian food each week along with weekly special menu (eg. like vada pav, pav bhaji, Gujhiya etc) which is different for each week. Follow their fb page and you will know what is week’s special menu for a particular week.
