So sad to say this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I was so excited to come try it out, such a beautiful facility I expected a wonderful time. It started from the very beginning, when trying to order drinks we were told the cooler was out and they would have to go upstairs for our drinks, not sure why they didn’t just get them instead of making us feel like an inconvenience and then didn’t even end up having the beer that was ordered. No big deal we ordered other drinks instead, then we order some appetizers, our first app (the stuffed Bella’s) came out cold, okay no big deal they took it back and brought us a warm plate. We ordered the surf and turf sliders as well which we never ended up getting. Then we ordered specials, there were 4 of us, 3 ordered the surf and turf (55$) special... the 4th person ordered prime rib which we were then informed isn’t available on sundays even though it didn’t say that anywhere on the menu. No big deal they changed their order, then we are approached by the owner apologizing that he doesn’t have the “surf” part of our meal (lobster tail) asks to substitute it and adds shrimp instead, then when our meals come out they are missing the potato that was advertised (it was brought out later) then our steaks are over cooked and definitely not a nice cut of filet. The owner then proceeded to let us know that he would take $100 off of our bill... which was split between two parties still leaving our bill at $160 just ridiculous considering we didn’t get anything the way we ordered it if we even got it at all. Our guest were in town from NY, they paid with card and left a cash tip, they have told me they were also charged an addition $30 for a tip on their card. The owner told me “it’s just a bad table” I was completely blown away being in the food and beverage industry for almost 20 years I have never had such a bad experience. He assured me next time would be much better, my guest assured me there wouldn’t be a next time. After reading other comments, I believe they probably do better most of the time but this experience was just ridiculous, and the fact that they even made us pay for anything blew my mind, $50 off of our bill... how about not charging $55 per meal that didn’t even come as ordered. Or even going above and beyond to offer a dessert or anything. By the end of our dinner we couldn’t help but laugh at the entire experience and the fact that we spent $160 (for two people). I know there were others having issues while we were in there but of course it could have just been...
Read moreThis is a great gem in Grove, OK. We came here for lunch today, and I ordered the strawberry goat cheese salad and added chicken, and my daughter had a cheesesteak sandwich with a side of garlic potato wedges. Really good. Not inexpensive but fresh and tasty. We have come back for dinner even, to have loaded baked potatoes (a noted side) as a quick meal before an event. We just noted the menu has another side with amazing dinner plates like pasta and seafood and steak! Friendly service, lots of windows, and a nice mixture of music (“My Girl” played followed by some John Mayer for example), make for a great atmosphere. Oh, and their salad dressings are great and homemade. I had balsamic vinegarette and raspberry vinegarette (not too sweet) today. We will definitely come back to try more entries and will bring friends, next time we come to stay...
Read moreThere are 2 restaurants located here, The Regatta (steaks and other fine dini g options) and Booms (pizzas, bbq and other options). The Regatta is/was reservation required, I had tried to call earlier in the day but never got through. We arrived; they asked if we had reservations....we were then told it could possibly be a 30-minute wait. We were also told there was little waiting upstairs at Boom, and the food was just as yummy! We were hungry and decided not to wait. We went upstairs to eat dinner, order 2 pizzas - pepperoni and a supreme, while I had the bbq Mac n cheese with chopped brisket. It was good and just what we ordered, May not have been steaks, but hey, it saved us money for sure. Met the owner, Mark, great guy, chatted it up a little with us and then hurried back off...
