The only reason this is getting a 4 stars and not 5, is because the building needs a lot of repairs inside, it's pretty ugly on the inside and probably the only negative thing about it, we're here to talk about the food however. So let's discuss the food, this is a hole in the wall that my parents frequent when they can't think of anything to make for dinner (which I hear is quite often), so when we're visiting we'll pop in there from time to time and either have lunch, or dinner. I've never once had a bad experience with the food in this place, the only thing i'd probably suggest, is that they go to a place like Sam's club and buy huge boxes of onion rings to fry up, cause the amount of onion rings I got on my plate was pitiful, the photo you see above/below is how many I got without eating any before taking the photo. However all of the food comes out hot and fresh, the taste is enhanced by the family friendly atmosphere that surrounds the place, they even have an old lady that volunteers from time to time to play the piano for people, so you get some relaxing music to dine to. My fiance enjoyed her meatball sub, her fries were also nice and crisp, my parents allowed me to showcase their food as well, even though I didn't try any of theirs, it still looked hot and delicious. My sandwich wasn't the best philly i'd ever have, but they do fairly well not to screw up the classic philly with non-needed ingredients, the only better place i've been to that served me said sandwich was a place in Seattle, where a guy specialized in making specifically those types of sandwiches. Overall a wonderful experience, we'll be back again and I highly recommend checking it out!

Great food and wonderful friendly service. Came in afternoon before dinner rush and everything was delicious and hot and arrived promptly. It's not cheap but I've paid $40 for food not half this good so I'm used to price gouging which is not the case here at all. I had been here years ago and was so glad I got to bring my husband to try it going through the place as truck drivers! Located right across from the Pilot so loved the convenience! Best fried mushrooms I've ever had and best cherry cobbler you could ask for!!! We are big eaters and had leftovers! Don't listen to the negative reviews; come try home cooking Carolina style 😁😊 I hope we get back again!

Oh what a place with southern hospitality and a passion for food and great service. The waitress ginger was great very friendly had some questions on the menu I went for the bbq pork which was outstanding when they bought over the meal the aroma was great and the bbq pork tasted even better served with fries and hush puppy (fried corn bread) which was really good. I noticed that a lot of the locals came in which is always a great sign of good local food. Good size parking lot and yes certainly if I’m back in the area to go back again.

Really enjoy it here. Staff are friendly and treat you like family, prices are reasonable. The Hot Tea is great here, though you sometimes have to make it yourself even when they know how you like it and they made coffee for someone else at the table just how they take it. If you get it in a to go cup though they usually have it made already when they bring it to you. It can be difficult to get a second cup sometimes while they are great at refilling coffee.

I see the most people here for breakfast, but to me I prefer eating here for lunch or dinner as I like the food better and it seems to be less greasy and better quality. They have great applesauce here they serve both hot and cold as you like, specify cold or it may come out heated.

I like their pizza, mozzarella sticks steak sandwiches and that type of thing the most.

You can even get a steak for breakfast. They will make an omelet with what you want in it if you want to customize it.

Sometimes they have a local musician play in the evenings.

They are continually slowly updating the place itself, new card reader and better ordering system and checkout computer, new table cloths, and in the near future customized tables with historical items built into the table according to the signs on the tables.

Best part is the staff in my opinion. Friendly, kind knowledgeable and treat you...

Went there for lunch. Was pleased with the service as far as the food. I ordered the chop steak with peppers and onions with gravy. Corn puffs, breaded okra and mashed potatoes potoes with gravy. Price was 11.50 for plate and extra side cause I had three was 2.29 plus to price of tea. Plate was not proportioned for the price I paid. A dollop of taters that was gone in four bites. I could have had real steak for the same. The chop was supposed to be 10oz.but I'm sure it wasn't. Pattie should have been thicker and I could get a burger down the street at old Rhonda bigger than the what they served me. Price refects a fancy restaurant but food and proprtons don't. Won't...
