P & J Seafood — Restaurant in Groves

I needed something other than a burger or tacos so I decided on this place here for a pick up order. We called in 2 orders of popcorn 🍤 (8.99 each) and a small order of shrimp fried rice. The rice was good but not the best around and the dinners (shrimp and fries) Could have been a bit warmer, did not taste as fresh as I would have liked, but not too bad. Good Customer service. It would even be better if they had a drive through window. And may not want to bring small children with you if they are runners due to the parking lot being small and on corner of a very busy fast paced intersection...

This place is the epitome of consistency. Their food quality is great. I love the family that runs it. Usually you see the same faces covering the same positions, but they flow and pitch in everywhere, like a finely tuned machine. But I have to say that my absolute favorite thing about this place is that, whether I am the only person there or they are stacked 20 deep from the plant letting out, my order takes the same amount of time no matter what. They never seem to get...

Got the grilled catfish and shrimp with the rice. Broke apart the catfish and shrimp and rolled the rice over the small compartment in the box. Yummy for sure. They only fry the oysters was only sad part. But the fried was good. But to think of all three grilled and then have rice in bottom of large compartment then the grilled laid out over the rice. That would of been totally awesome. Maybe in near future they can figure out how to grill...
