I go here because there's not a lot of other competition in Grovetown for seafood. They serve oysters & scallops which other places don't. About once every 3 months I get a hankering for good old oysters! If you get their oyster combo, you get 10 oysters with a side of either fried rice, steamed veggies or fries. That cost about $16 or $17. But if you just get the oysters by themselves, it's a dollar cheaper & you get 12 oysters. It all seems high priced to me! You can tell these oysters weren't fresh caught, they're cooked from frozen! This restaurant still hasn't opened up their dining room. They still act like COVID is going on! You have to stand outside with no seating in the hot sun or either sit in your car. They serve Swai a Japanese catfish, which is not the actual catfish. It's bigger but does not have the flavor of real catfish, I know catfish when I see it and taste it! We use to go fishing every Saturday. It's a hit or miss when ordering lately, you can tell the oil hasn't been changed by the old oil taste in the food. The rice is good at times when it's not overcooked, it would be nice if they had a grilled or sauté option instead of fried fish. I was very disappointed in the food here. Great setup for taking orders and bringing them to your vehicle while social distancing. Friendly and courteous staff as well. The food just severely disappointed. Portion size is good, with an abundance of fries on the plate, but the tilapia and shrimp both lacked ANY seasoning. The tartar sauce tasted like mayo with a little relish as an afterthought. I honestly believe the cole slaw was either old or spoiled. I'm not sure which one but it was completely inedible!
