Monday, 7/03/2023 - Ate at Fisherman's Cove. Address is 1850 Bayflat Rd, Bodega Bay, CA 94923. Inside may be about 300sq ft and another 200sq feet outside. Just an estimate. When we arrived, the line was out the door. Long line. Tables were dirty. But, I saw staffs were busy trying to service the lunch rush and trying as hard as they can to cook, bring foods out to tables, and clean tables. I went ahead and clean our table for us so we had a spot to sit. Upon arrival...

Pros

  1. staffs were very nice.
  2. I saw all staffs working and helping one another. Unlike other restaurants where I'll see staffs just on their phones. Great team work here.
  3. menu was posted all over and there's a paper menu on the counter.
  4. they had gelato ice cream for sale and other small goodies.
  5. you can buy fishing items here: crab nets, fish baits, fishing stuff, etc.
  6. you can buy bottle drinks or get free water from their water machine. There is hot and cold water. You can get unlimited water. Thank goodness!
  7. lobster sandwich was good. Lobster was a little too cooked, but still good. Ate all mine.
  8. clam chowder was good. On the saltier and watery-ish side, but still good. Glad I can taste the clam in it. Not too bad. The bread we got with it was soft and good.
  9. tri-tip sandwich was dry, but good. Tri-tip was over cooked. Glad there was bbq sauce on it. Made it tasted much better.
  10. there's tables inside to sit and eat. There's also tables to sit and eat outside. You can see the ocean and boats.
  11. there's 1 bathroom for men or women.
  12. water tasted great! No funky or metal taste. Didn't need lemon.

Cons

  1. parking lot is small. Hard to find parking.
  2. our lobster and tri-tips were over cooked and on the drier side, but still good. I prefer it not over cooked tho.

Conclusion I liked this little tiny restaurant. Not too bad. Parking is hard, granted. But staffs were nice, food ok, unlimited refill on water, clam chowder ok. I saw all staffs working hard as I mentioned before and helping one another. Great service...

Our family has been coming here for a decade now. We've watched it grow from Bait Shop to full restaurant, and this is the kind of business you simply want to see blow up. I wouldn't wish them TOO much more success than they've already earned, because they're often so busy, there's a line wrapped around the building. This doesn't seem to be a problem for them- the food is always out quickly and the food is ALWAYS.... PERFECT.

We are regulars here. The staff has been a strong and steady team for years, and they all work incredibly hard to make sure you have the best experience.

I've seen a lot of really entitled people bringing their pets and outside food into this establishment and while they don't allow either, they handle the interaction with grace every time. But while I'm on the subject, please don't be that entitled jerk. Neither your dog nor your meal from the place down the street belong here. Just have manners? Yikes.

There's nothing that ISN'T worth trying on this menu, but if I must choose, I'd say the crab sandwich is our every-single-time order and it's unparalleled. From Seattle down to Mexico, it's just honestly the best crab sandwich. It's all Dungeness and it's all fresh. The oysters are killer, their fries are ridiculous (not usually a side I go out of my way to mention) and their salads are perfection. Before I came to California, my favorite Seafood Place was Local Oceans in Newport, Oregon. This place not only holds it's own, it makes me reconsider. This is, in general, one of my favorite places to eat on the planet. It's just that good, from the food, to the people who make...

Just now sat here for 20-25 mins waiting for my order and when I placed my order only one person in there.I watched about eight people order after me and get there meals.I get up ask the non professional guy working there where is my order. He sits there rambling on and on then asks me if I want a refund.I say no I want my food and I want a explanation then finally he says the tickets fall in a crack and get lost and they dont see it finally a explanation this guy working here is rude and not smart at all.Update ,since they dropped the ball on my order it was then rushed fish was overcooked garlic bread not even cooked what a waste of $55 lunch.Been coming here for twenty years and after today I will never be back and will no longer tell people about your place Nice reply now I see why your manager is no good at his job.I ordered your $22 fish and chips and clam chowder. My wait had nothing to do with food cook time your funny person.Like I said place was dead slow for him not to notice or care that 7-8 people got there food while Im still sitting there inside not outside sitting there waiting. For him not to notice is a complete joke. The amount of business owners I have referred is a great amount. Now going to tell everyone service has went way down hill and the food to so from now on I will refer the Boat House not your place.Read the review owner get a clue tell him focus on customers and not the girl...

If you think you've had the best seafood, think again. This restaurant in Bodega Bay is the crown jewel of seafood spots. These Grilled Oysters with smoky bacon and a spicy Worcestershire is where seafood dreams come true. This Crab Sandwich is the taste of Bodega Bay itself. And the Clam Chowder is Rich, hearty, and unforgettable. Don’t settle for less. If you want the best seafood in Bodega Bay, Fisherman’s Cove is it. Worth every penny. We love coming to Fisherman’s Cove for our oyster fix. Their raw oysters are always fresh and never disappoint. Getting a dozen ($36 for 12, $19 for 6) is a must for us every visit. If raw isn’t your thing, they also offer grilled oysters ($21 for 6) with a few flavor options. We don’t usually order them, but when we do, the chorizo butter grilled oyster is our top pick. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it’s seafood, what do you expect? The quality backs up the price every time. If oysters aren’t your thing, don’t worry. Their menu is stacked with sandwiches, fried seafood, chowders, and stews. This time around we got the calamari and chips, and it was so good. Honestly, I haven’t been disappointed by anything I’ve ordered here. The staff is always friendly and unfazed, even when the place gets busy, which it usually does. The only thing to keep in mind is the crowd. The line can get long fast, and although they have a small lot, parking fills up quickly. Street parking is limited, so getting there early is the way to go. Still, the quality of food and welcoming vibe keeps us coming back. Highly recommend! Fisherman’s Cove is a gem.
