Update : I got a Yelp message regarding this post.
My response : Your coffee shop forgot to make my order and forgot what I ordered. In addition, the scone wasn't made right and was still sold to me. Yelp's rating for a 2 star is "Meh, I've experienced better" I think the rating is fair.
It may be more professional and better for business to register as the business owner and respond to our posts to let everyone know what changes have been or haven't been made.
I'm really mixed on this experience. It's a cute coffee shop in the middle of nowhere. You can't miss it. You'll see the giant espresso / organic coffee flags and if that doesn't stop you, there is a giant bathroom sign outside too. It looks great and the bathroom is clean too.
The ordering process felt very amateur. Was told it would take 5 mins for coffee and 10 mins for a sandwich after paying for the item.
Asked if the lemonade was sweet and was told it's just 25% powder so they can dilute it which I opted out of since I didn't know if it's sweet or not. I can always dilute it myself.
The scone tasted like someone made it for the first time. Salty in some parts, tasteless in some parts, breaking apart everywhere.
The sandwich came out (which was a-ok!), but the worker forgot to make our coffee and wasn't sure what else we ordered.
I liked finding a treasure like this, but they may need some time...

I had the matcha—it was incredible. They made it exactly how I like it: double-stirred, creamy, and with oat milk. I also ordered the curry, which was so flavorful and filling. My sister loved their beet burger, and the croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky. Everyone at our table truly enjoyed their meal.
They had an outdoor stand selling fresh veggies from their garden, and of course, we bought some. Afterward, we took a walk through the garden—what a treat! The scent of fresh herbs filled the air, and the whole ambience of the place was just peaceful and soul-soothing.
The owner was present and such a kind man. He personally came over, introduced himself, and gave us a little tour. The staff were all warm, friendly, and genuinely happy—it was noticeable. No one looked stressed or rushed.
I personally believe people infuse food with their energy, and here, the good vibes were absolutely flowing. I think that’s what made everything taste even better.
Can’t wait to take another trip up north just to come...

Their menu may be small, but it is bursting with creativity and care. Each offering feels handpicked and thoughtfully crafted.
I was particularly caught off guard by the vegan cookie rich, warm, and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. A pleasant surprise that lingered long after the last bite.
Parking is limited in the small lot behind the building, but it is clear that the locals are already in on the secret. The spot has a loyal following, and rightly so.
Families will appreciate the fresh garden trail nearby, a medium-sized space that gives kids room to wander and discover while parents sip in peace.
Whether you are passing through or a local looking for something soulful and satisfying, Lightwave Coffee and Kitchen is a must try.
