This is a long serving restaurant, over 30 years! They have upgraded to a new larger building since then and is very cozy with seating. The booths hold 3-4 people on each side. Great for large parties. The food was really good! The BBQ is excellent. Their coleslaw, oh my, it's absolutely amazing and you must try it if you like coleslaw! The French fries are home made as well. They do have coffee and deserts available, including pecan pie. Their ice is the same ice you'd get at Zaxby's and that's my favorite kind! You know, the small cube shaped kind. No beer or bar is here. So it's an excellent choice for a family environment meal. Highly recommended for anyone in the region who has a family, or if you want to have a "date night" with your spouse.

Very nice and spacious place. Super clean restrooms and sitting areas. I ordered shrimp and grits it was just that shrimp and grits nothing extra. But to my surprise the grits came out piping hot, cheesy and creamy. I usually am very hesitate about ordering grits from restaurants but I can truly say they did not disappoint. My spouse ordered the rib plate and hands down those were some of the best ribs ever. Seasoned with perfection and falling of the bone tender. I would recommend this restaurant and would defintely recommend the grits" as a side" ,especially if you love grits like me, and the ribs.

Alright maybe it was an off day but the food and service was awful here. The brisket plate was tough and greasy. Two of the pieces weren't even edible and the other 2 were like jerky. The Mac and cheese was plain didn't taste like much. The slaw was way to sweet. My husband had the rib plate and it left alot to be desired. OK ribs but not alot of meat.

You ever want to just waste money?. Do you like buying food you can’t eat? Firstly, You walk in and there’s a giant menu, so you get kinda excited with all your options, really pumped up for some good southern bbq. They take your order at the counter, and you pay ,they hand you a number and you seat yourself and they will bring your food to the table. You can serve yourself beverages and they have a soda fountain and sweet tea/unsweetened tea and pink lemonade options. However, Their soda fountain was flat, no bubbles no fizzy delicious Coca-Cola or sprite . And their sweet tea?… not southern in the least. Like why is there no sweetness in sweet tea? Anyway our waitress brings out our food. Immediately. IMMEDIATELY you can tell you about to not enjoy anything on the plate. The sides are in tiny 2 oz cups, come to you cold. the fries cold and dry,the pulled/chopped pork cold, dry, The ribs, cold dry, the chicken… like chewing rubber cold and dry. Literally everything seems like like a few days old and been sitting out under a broke. Heat lamp since they began the day. And you ever entered an autozone or mechanics shop and smelled that oily automobile smell?… yeah everything tastes like how that place smells. DISGUSTING! I just wasted so much money on food that couldn’t be consumed. One of the worse dining experiences ever how disappointing it is to pay good money for food you won’t eat. And I was raised not to complain or be rude to service workers so when our waitress would check on us with the look on her face like she JUST KNEW the food was dissatisfactory and was dreading us asking it to be remade or refunded, I couldn l’t bring myself to let her know HARRY should close his business asap cause this food is TERRIBLE. How the hell is their average rating a 4.3? The only thing that seemed halfway decent was the corn nuggets and broccoli cheddar bites which you just KNOW comes in a premade frozen bag they just deep fry for 2 minutes and let me tell you… even that was mediocre at best. We were just passing thru Claxton hoping to get a good meal and left claxton hungry I tell you we did. Not eat that food. Money wasted. And I don’t ever want to pass thru...

Came here with my wife. We got jalapeño poppers, a half rack of ribs, and a burger. Both meals came with a side of mac and cheese each. The total came to $49.00 including tip. Which brings me to my first concern, the tip was taken before we even sat down. How is one to know how good the service and food is going to be before the meal begins? I have never seen a restaurant that takes a tip before you experience the service and meal. That is the entire point of a tip. I disagree 100% with this type of practice as it is completely backwards from every other establishment that takes tips.

I happily gave a tip with anticipation of decent service because I have heard a lot of good things about this place. However, the service was sparce and very short worded and the food was sub par at best.

Once our appetizer came, I was pleasantly surprised that the jalapeño poppers were very delicious. Nice fresh jalapeños, decent amount of cream cheese and a wonderful breading. Then the entrees came. The burger was rubbery, the veggies were soggy. It was very similar to a burger from a cookout. The ribs were tough and quite honestly inedible due to an extreme amount of dry rub and the toughness of the meat itself. No amount of barbecue sauce was able to save the flavor. The sides of mac and cheese on the other hand were the only saving grace of the meal because it was quite honestly the best mac and cheese I've had in a long time. The noodles were nicely cooked and the cheese was thick and delicious. This is some stick-to-your-ribs good mac and cheese.

All in all, I would definitely come back for an appetizer or a side. However, I'll probably find a different place for...

Harry's is great cannot believe I have not given a review before now. I've gone to Harry's off and on for several years they have moved updated without losing their service their charm and most importantly they're good barbecue if you haven't tried them you should I love their fries and I love their barbecue they have a little something for everyone the menu is extensive without losing the Staples and I've noticed they have always done what they could to keep the prices Fair they rarely go up and when they do they don't skyrocket and if you eat it you'll know it's worth what you pay their family friendly too I'm sure there's more that I can say I don't have anything negative to stay truly you should try them out but to waste any more of your time you're just going to look at a large review and run off and I'd hate for you to miss the opportunity to try them out. But it's no joke they don't advertise it anymore I see but Harry used to be world renowned for their barbecue. And for good reason not a lot of gimmicks not a bunch of junk just good barbecue but if you like surf and turf and let's not forget the chewy cakes. Well I didn't want to ramble and here I go can you feel it that's my heart and my gut both of which have grown...
