DiMaggio's Pizza and Burgers — Restaurant in Hagar Township

RUDE SERVICE, WAITRESS YELLS, CUSTOMER LEAVES HUNGRY!!!

My family and I come to this restaurant for last 3yrs during the summer pretty often and we never had a problem! The lovely owner lady was mostly on premises and the waitresses ware always polite, nice and helpful… Today we came for dinner (7 family members) and the owner lady was NOT present!!!

We got the worst service from our young, rude to the maximum waitress, that only words can describe! We were treated in such a disrespectful way that my husband couldn’t believe it!

First; the young waitress messed up our order forgetting to include my husband’s dinner dish while placing the order with the kitchen…my daughter’s drink wasn’t served till 3rd time I mentioned it to the waitress, and my niece’s drink was not what she has ordered! Then she brought the 2 pizzas we preordered on the phone almost 45 min earlier to our arrival, throwing the cheese pizza on the table that it almost ended up on my daughter’s chest!

After 15 minutes she served the other dishes she came back to the table lying that my husband’s missing dish will be right up! After 1/2 hr has passed I asked “when my husband’s dish will be finally ready?” to which she replied in a very rude way full of negative attitude, while rolling her eyes at me, “it’s in a cue to be made” (she did not even care to mention to the cook that she missed this dish from a prior earlier order and the hungry customer is waiting for it, while rest of his family already is eating the dinner… for the kitchen staff to make their priority to make his dish before the other orders that were placed by customers, who arrived almost an hour after us, or later….) SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! when I asked her for a check she returned practically throwing the piece of paper at my husband stating “pay up and just go!” She never even bothered to say…”hey I’m sorry for messing up your family’s order and that your husband will have to leave home hungry” bc we had to leave to be on our way home being at the restaurant for almost 2.5hrs! It was unbelievable how RUDE SHE WAS! My husband paid and he usually tips between 20-30% ALWAYS! He tipped much much less this time for a service of this kind to our family!!! Then her waitress co-worker run out after us outside and threw a receipt on the ground in front of my husband’s feet and ran back...

Pizza is good but overpriced. The takeout method is ridiculous. Nowhere to wait except in the middle of the bar, constantly moving out of the way of others. There is no way of knowing who's next or who has already been helped. It's extremely loud and too chaotic to hear anyone! I paid a woman without being able to hear her say the total so I handed her some cash since they don't take credit (I had no idea the amount she put back in my hand), becaue she never told me. Plus, she didn't have my pizzas. She only had the ticket with the total price. It's so hectic, and I didn't see that someone brought my pizzas out of the kitchen. I'm not even sure they asked anyone. But there they were on the opposite counter from me. Then, when the woman I paid pointed to them and asked someone else if they were thiers, I spoke up and said they're mine (I could see what ingredients were written on the side of the boxes). I mentioned that I had already paid for them. She was extremely rude, and with an annoyed look on her face, she said, "Then you can take them." I gladly did and walked out. A customer waiting behind me commented on how rude that woman was and acted as if I annoyed her. I was just letting her know I paid because I didn't want her to think I was just grabbing them without paying, especially because there wasn't a ticket or any way of knowing whose pizzas they were. I could not believe she was so rude. I have lived here all my life, and we've ordered quite often. I've never had such bad service. I feel bad for the waitresses trying to get in and out of the bar because they make all the takeout customers stand in their way. I don’t typically write reviews, but my experience was so horrible I thought it should be shared. if I could give this place a review just for their service and hospitality it would be a zero. From the start of us sitting down I noticed how unorganized and confused the waitress were… Not only that but they were exceptionally rude and unprofessional, in a way that would make anyone uncomfortable! We sat down and our drinks were handed to the wrong people, after we waited 15 mins for them to take just our drink order. While we were putting in our order we asked if they do anything gluten free in the nicest way possible. Because my grandma has a health condition where she can’t have it. The waitress gave a dirty look and told her in a rude way “yeah we don’t do that here”. She ordered a salad with chicken because that’s all she could have, not only did it come with no chicken but they tried to charged us for it ! Then after they put out pizza in we were told that it would be an hour for the pizza ! AFTER THEY PUT IT IN AND MADE US PAY FOR IT! And it doesn’t stop there we went to go pick up our pizza after an hour and the waitress that we ordered the pizza with, smiled and pointed at him saying it was our pizza and then walked him out asking if he paid. UNBELIEVABLE!
