One of the most expensive places to eat…. And completely not worth it! . We’re had to pick up our car at the mechanic (which is right down the road) later than expected, so we figured to pop in and grab dinner. While the parking lot was full, there was only one table with diners, so we were seated quickly. . I usually grab wings at places like this and hike smokes, I almost had a heat stack looking at the prices! 6 wings for $12.95 is absolute robbery. 10 wings….4 more wings…just four more wings runs you $21.95!!!! Unreal. I refuse to pay that and look at other options. Reuben sandwich, $19.95? . This place has been around forever, and it was on the verge of closing a couple years ago, but apparently it came back to life. We are all for going to non-chain, restaurants, supporting mom and Pop joints, but for the love of God if these are the prices that they’re going to charge, then the place should just close because they are absolutely ripping everyone off that walks through that front door. . My girlfriend got the French Onion Soup and the fish and chips and was happy with it. Well, happy with the fish and chips. The French onion soup, while very cheesy…. Had no real beefy/onion taste. Broth tasted very watery, with not many onions. I guess they feel that if you give someone a cheesey crock of whatever, the cheese makes up for it… . I just opted for the “Chicken and Chips” basket (which according to the menu) made it seem like the chicken was going to be just like the fish, bartered, fried, higher quality “chips”….. no. I got over cooked chicken fingers and crinkle cut fries. If I even got her fries (which were much better), it wouldn’t have been half as bad. But sadly no. I did get a big protein of chicken fingers (about 6. It was five whole ones and then they threw in a free broken small pieces that would’ve equaled six). But again, standard Sysco chicken fingers that were dry and overbooked. . Waiter was great, Place has a cool, log cabin vibe. Seating is weird, with curved booths all around, the bathroom had no heat, as when she came back she was frozen, shocked their puppies don’t freeze as it was that cold in there. . I don’t know. We’ve been there before in the past. We’re done though. Wasn’t worth the price for...
Read moreSo upset they made me the enemy tonight. Two elder shepherd dogs locked in a truck tonight. I gave them 3 chances to resolve the situation. The dogs were painting excessively and not even barking anymore when I had gone out avain (more than the owners bothered to check on them). Was basically told by the manager "oh well what do you want me to do" after several calls to the restaurant and them Admitting that they had identified the owners still nothing. The dogs were showing signs of distress and even after telling the manager that the dogs seemed stressed (were not even barking anymore only panting) that they needed help. The manager went over to the table ( I was outside but another party of my table overheard) that I was just some crazy lady in the parking lot about some dogs 🙄 These dogs went from barking and carrying on to barely caring I was at the window. They needed help. I was there too make sure they were ok. Luckily they were this time. I was getting ready to break a window of needed.....had the manager taken my warnings before thiS point maybe not so bad but Since he had several chances and did Nothing and still acts like I was wrong....I won't be back. After decades of going to Dunleavys you just severed a very long and dear...
Read moreWhat a sweet little Irish gem tucked away in a busy town. If you're looking to grab a bite to eat as well as a few drinks late at night, they're open until 1am. Looking from the outside, you wouldn't think that it would be so spacious and comfortable. The seating is open and welcoming, the perfect place to relax with friends or family or just take in the game at the bar. I ordered their Irish potato soup as an appetizer it was by far the best I've had. I ordered the French dip sandwich which comes with au jus sauce and chips. They gave a generous portion of roast beef on my sandwich, the bread was soft and fresh and the sauce was perfect. My husband ordered the soup as well and the clams casino. It was freshly made with all natural ingredients and tasted amazing. For dessert I had the Guiness chocolate pudding and New York cheesecake. My husband has the chocolate layer cake. The cheese cake was creamy and topped with fresh cherries. The chocolate layer cake had delicious thick fudge and chocolate chips. The cake itself was moist and everything chocolate is supposed to taste like. The Guiness pudding was rich and dark with just a hint of beer. It wasn't over powe ring at all. I will definitely be back. Oh and tonight was...
