This is my 2nd time eating here, and it was even better than the first. I did a pickup order of their curry chicken, their Texas chicken and their dish with the duck (the exact name escapes me at the moment).
They informed me they were out of the duck, but they compensated me with the buffalo dish instead and it came with the side of their marinated peanuts (which I didn't even know was a thing).
The curry was just "good", it was perfect. I loved that they used the thighs of the chicken rather than chick breast (which dry out). That was nice touch, and I could tell they really stewed thee meat. It was divine over a bed of rice.
The buffalo meat was very flavorful and went well with the onion and coriander leaves. I can't quite explain the taste of the dish because I've never tasted anything like it. It was quite unique. Same goes for the peanut dish. I didn't know marinated peanuts were a thing, but I honestly could have had that as a dish on its own it was so good.
The Texas Chicken was marinated nicely. It kinda reminded me of the wings you get at Chinese restaurants. The salad with the peas, carrots, cucumbers, and potatoes was refreshing and well-seasoned. It had a little of a kick to it. Never had anything like that.
They gave me some complimentary samosas being that they were out of the duck, which I really appreciate it.
In all, if I had one minor complaint, it'd be the the meat on the buffalo dish was a tad bit tough but not enough to ruin it. There's always room for improvement.
In any case, I highly recommend this eatery. I know it's Nepalese food, but it's very similar to Indian food which I've been a huge fan of for over a decade now. I've eaten at some really great authentic Indian food over there years, and, so far, this place is stacking up to be one of my top 5 places I've been.
This place is a vibe, and I highly recommend it for those who wanna try something out of the...
Read moreThe food is amazing! We were out in Fort Worth and looking for a place to eat on Too Good To Go amd found this place. When we got there, we decided to order additional food and so glad we did. The prices are super affordable and they are so kind. They offered us hot chai tea while we waited for our order. It smells amazing and tastes delicious. We loved everything especially the Chili Momo dumplings (veg) and the Chicken Tikka Masala. I thought the Chili Momo was a unique twist on Indo-Chinese flavors with a Nepalese twist. The Tikka Masala was one of the best we’ve had. You can even order frozen dumplings which come with sauce. I wish this was closer to home but it’s just so good I might make the trip back just for the...
Read moreLet me start with my only critique which is the name. I wouldn’t consider this place a Taqueria so don’t let the name confuse you. We were greeted and offered complimentary chai, which was delicious. For the buffet we were expecting to see the whole layout but we were given a plate with a bit of everything. Which I think it’s better than having the food sitting on trays for hours. And we could ask for more of whatever we wanted. I think it’s perfect for people who haven’t tried much of this cuisine before. The naan was warm, buttery, and flaky. Everything was delicious! They definitely know how to use their spices. The curries were full of flavor and well balanced. We can’t wait to come back and try...
