The Oaks Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Ham Lake

We dined at Majestic Oaks, 46th Hole Bar and Grill tonight and deemed the food, with the exception of the Chicken Wild Rice Soup, the worst food we've had in a long time. We had two hamburgers that tasted old like they were frozen for too long. Our french fries and tater tots at best, were below average. By the way, we eat out almost every dinner. The potato skins tasted out of a grocery store box, which I assume they were. They were dry and tasted horrible. We were very hungry, as neither my wife or I had lunch, so we forced it down. The service was excellent, which was sad because hard working servers should be proud of the food they serve. The server offered to get the manager, but then couldn't find her, we waited awhile then as were were leaving the manager approached us. As a manager I expected her to be dressed other than a server. Her demeaner was robotic and inhospitable. There was no offer to comp a meal, give us a free drink or free menu item coupon. She did apologize but her tone of voice and body language was that she really didn't care about us or the food. Some years ago we had a great meal at your restarant and we have attended many banquets and weddings there. It is so sad to experience what we did. I hope that you can take these comments to heart and make improvements. We will not be returning soon and feel sorry for the staff working with such substandard food. I will be submitting this to several restaurant review sites, with the assumption you have heard these comments before and have done nothing.......

Wife and I ordered nachos to share. It came with one small scoop of chicken, a few jalapenos, a few tomatoes and a pile of lettuce with over cooked cheese on a few chips. No onions, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, black olives, no anything. I raised my concern to the waitress and she brought me some Caso cheese and charged me for it. Our waitress Brooke was great. Very busy night but she managed everything really well and always smiling. We were there last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary a few weeks early. We were married there as well as 6 years ago August 25th. Great place for a wedding too. I had the Ruben wich was excellent. My wife had the fish and chips and enjoyed them. Said was the best she's had in a long time. Keep up...
