All I can say is… this place is phenomenal! We ate here on a Sunday and arrived when they opened at 1pm. It’s a great sign that they were half full by 1:15 and had a full house by 2pm. There isn’t one thing that was disappointing.  The restaurant itself is cute and warmly decorated. Our server Sarah was on point from beginning to end. She greeted us right way and took our drink order. She also gave several good recommendations to our menu questions. Each table is served a loaf of fresh, warm Italian bread, homemade garlic bread and family style salad with their own vinaigrette. Both types of bread were fantastic! The garlic bread is exceptional. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops. The bacon was crisp and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t fatty or soggy. It was really perfect! Scallops were tender and the wasabi dipping sauce had just enough kick. My entrée was the 18 oz. cowboy ribeye, medium rare with sautéed spinach and broccoli rabe and garlic. The steak was superb, cooked perfectly and very tender. My veggies were excellent. Both bright green so I am assuming they got them from a local farm. They were both in a light broth with a little oil. Broccoli rabe had a touch of red pepper flakes so they had a kick. My husband had the menu special. Twin lobster tails with crab meat stuffing and their homemade pasta AND homemade sauce. He raved about everything. The lobster was tender and the stuffing was mostly lump crabmeat.  However, he is still talking about the pasta. I know this phrase is over used but… he was blown away. Then Sarah came back with another round of bread! Needless to say we were stuffed when we left and the price was absolutely more than reasonable. We decided that EVERY time we go to Atlantic City we will, without a doubt, stop at Joe’s for lunch or dinner.

Dined at Joe Italiano's Maplewood Mays Landing for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. We started with appetizers. My wife ordered the bruschetta from the specials menu and I ordered fried calamari. Both had generous portions. The complimentary salad, seeded Italian bread and garlic bread were delicious as well. Both breads were warm and crispy. The vinaigrette dressing on the salad was excellent! On to the entrees. My wife ordered the chicken Marsala. Absolutely delicious and chock full of mushrooms which I love. I usually order a seafood pasta but I tried something different. I ordered the triple meat Bolognese made with beef, pork and veal. Another winner! The sauce was perfectly seasoned, rich, hearty and loaded with meat. There was a slight issue when the wrong dish was brought out for my order (shrimp parm), but the issue was corrected quickly. It was worth the extra few minutes wait time. Our service was excellent and we commemorated the occasion with a photo which our server gladly obliged. I wish we had taken a picture of the food but I guess we were too hungry. The portions were big enough that we had leftovers for every course. It tasted even better the next day! I only wish we had room for dessert! An excellent meal and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to return!

Long overdue Birthday celebration for Ms Paula! The food was incredible. We got there just in time and it was crazy how many people we noticed were waiting in line just after we were seated. We started with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes then all three of us selected Uncle Nino for our meal. It was fresh pasta with a generous amount of seafood including a whole lobster tail, half of a Dungeness crab, jumbo shrimp and clams. My only issue was that it was very spicy. Even so.... delightful. Also, we came home with enough food for 2 more meals each. Next time, no red pepper but there definitely will be a next time! Friends, if you are on your way to Atlantic City, don't waste your money eating at one of the big hotels. This was definitely 5 star eating in a very relaxed and comfortable setting. The 3rd pic is of all the seafood without the shells. The lobster tail had to be 6 ounces, perfectly cooked. Yum!

Im Giving 5 stars , under the conditions of pandemic etc..it was pouring rain all day today and we got the chance to be inside.. we were seated at a table next to the empty bar, at first my wife doesnt much like that, but i enjoyed listening to the banter of the next 2 couples that came in and sat at the bar.. there was another couple and their son seated about 8 feet away.. Our waitress Fallon seemed at first very mild mannered and quiet, she took our drink order and came back promptly , then returned shortly and received our order without writing anything down.. the warm bread on a wooden cutting board with butter and a basket of garlic bread came from another server, all employees donned masks, and the appetizers started, my wifes fried mozzarella was done perfectly crisp and on the darker side.. delicious, then my scallops wrapped in bacon.. 2 sticks with 3 each .. so 6 small scallops with a sauce i have not identified yet , but was tangy and the scallops melted in my mouth..delicious..they could have been bigger..but they were very satisfying.. my chicken tortellini soup was wonderful.. the veal parm was delicious , but could have been thicker, just not pounded as thin would have been better ..but very good anyway.. 2 large meatballs on the side were perfect, our sides of spaghetti, also perfect. My wifes chicken parm, same as the veal, could have been a little less pounded.. but other wise very good.. we are so pleased that our server was on point, not annoying but SPOT ON! Everytime to clear our plates and ask if anything was needed..frankly i was very impressed with her, i had doubts in beginning.. She was flawless and i told her so.. I believe its important to let your servers know , it keeps them on their toes if they know it.. Morale is everything for these people.. Now some would feel the meal was a bit more then average or even say average.. after what we been going through for last 7 months of no restaurants, i feel that we really needed this and the setting and food was outstanding.. this day was extra special for me and my wife, her especially, 2 years exactly the day she received a new kidney and pancreas.. THANK YOU Fallon , and JOES MAPLEWOOD FOR MAKING IT JUST WHAT WE NEEDED TODAY... TomO! & Tracy ...

I have gone here twice now the first time was great the second time I ordered the scampi and I will honestly say it was shrimp in pasta water zero flavor no lemon no garlic no wine nothing just literally pasta water w shrimp floating in it and it was bad enough that I couldn't eat it and they were kind enough to take it off the bill which I insisted they didn't do still tipped the waitress because the service was good but they need a lesson on how to make scampi sauce which is a very very easy dish to prepare the atmosphere is very nice the first time we went the stuffed flounder was good but as far as the pasta and the scampi and all that it's not up to par I personally make an amazing scampi sauce with seafood or just shrimp and would b happy to re other give them or show them the recipe I don't care I just make it for my family I love seafood pasta and have been cooking my whole life as I am Italian I appreciate good food especially pasta and seafood because my family comes from Calabria 2 visits 2 completely different experiences I'm going to give it another shot today and we will see how it goes I'm not someone to write a place off after one bad experience as I have gone to many places that have done well time and time again and then one or 2 times didn't It depends on the staff or who is in control of the kitchen either way all in all the Maplewood was a good experience and has room to improve but serving seafood pasta in water with some parsley is not scampi the rest of the food we had was very good however please for the love of God and people that love seafood pasta fix your dam scampi please lol 😂 definitely not ordering that tonight but will check out other...
