Mario's Pizza — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

Breading on mozzarella sticks are soggy and the mozzarella cheese is disgusting .not even cheesy..more like hard and greasy..it don't stretch the cheese. I called asked if the jelopeno poppers were cream cheese or 🧀 cheddar? He said " cream cheese yes yes..so I bought it.. got home it was thick jelopeno with the breading off and 1 had cheddar cheese..so i was told cream cheese but out the order 1 had cheddar .rest just jelopeno in broken up breading..onion rings were good and when I complained they asked what I wanted I said a bacon 🥓 cheese 🧀 burger..which the owner delivered himself 😊 nice of them even though the fries weren't cooked.( white in color and the uncooked look and taste like a frozen fry that just sat out) .didn't try burger yet..BUT their PIZZAS is...

If you follow my reviews, you know that I'm still making my way through the central Jersey pizza spots and this was my first time at Mario's. Service was very good and welcoming. My opinion about the pizza... The crust: excellent and perfectly cooked for me - thin and slightly toasted. Sauce: fantastic, slightly sweet tomatoes with a great seasoning. Toppings (sausage and mushrooms) perfectly cooked and just the right amount. Cheese: Boooo. Seemed like cheap processed stuff. Admittedly, years ago, I worked for a cheese company so I can be a little picky, but their choice of cheese is a blocker for me. I lived in Hamilton for over 20 years and this is easily my favorite pizza place in the area. I make a point to stop here each time I come back to visit. Everything is fresh, prepared in front of you, and delicious. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Recommended: everything on the menu is excellent! I've been here a few hundred times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The Sicilian pizza, mushroom cheese steak, and zeppoles are my favorites.
