The was, by far, the most disappointing taco bell meal I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I purchased a number 10 - Cheesy Gordita Crunch meal deal that included a gordita crunch, two hardshell tacos, and a large drink (Baja blast, mountain dew). I got my meal from the drive through.
Firstly, the Mountain Dew Baja blast that I received must have been watered down. It had absolutely no blast to it at all. Perhaps their machines were running low on syrup. However, after consulting with my co-workers and hearing that the place has had this specific issue for "a very, very, very long time", I cannot give them the benefit of the doubt and must suspect that it is a very deliberate act by management in order to cut costs by reducing the syrup content in their drinks. This alone warrants a 1 star review.
Secondly, one of the hardshell tacos that I received may as well have been a taco salad because the shell was shattered into a thousand pieces. This damage must have been on their end because my meal enjoyed a calm and comfortable ride in my car all the way from the taco bell drive through to the break room at my work (5 min drive). At no point in its journey did it encounter any force that could possibly result in the shattering of my taco into a thousand pieces. There is no way. The second hardshell taco that I received faired slightly better - it was only broken down the length of the shell on the bottom which created two flat pieces that I could sandwich together.
The girl who worked the drive through sounded so defeated and like she just hated life and existence. I'm not usually empathetic, but her woe was so heavy that it seemed to have affected me in some way. I kind of felt slightly depressed for a few minutes afterwards. Bad experience.
The cheesy gordita crunch, however, was fantastic. It was really good. I'm not sure if this was a case of it just seeming to be good due to the rest of the meal being relatively awful or if it was objectively good regardless.
This taco bell deserves to go out of business. Food options in this area are rather limited, so I'm hoping the free market puts this place under and we can get something in here that doesn't have your co-workers grabbing your arm and shouting "NOOOO, DON'T DO IT." when you tell them where you're going to go...
Read moreI drive truck. My life is spent bringing all the things from manufacturers to warehouses where they are sent onto stores where they are bought by the masses. In my many years of driving I’ve hit many frustrating situations that tried destroy the usually polite and professional person I am and unfortunately this taco bell was just another one of many. I dropped my trailer to be loaded at my customer and arrived just after 1am happy to see the drive thru was still open. Being a 13 1/2 feet tall vehicle I parked in the back of the lot and walked up to the drive thru window as I have done countless times at a variety of restaurants in numerous states in the past dozen years expecting to put in an order. Instead I was curtly refused. “We don’t take walk up orders” she said (wish I could list her name but she wasn’t wearing a name tag and refused to give me her name or a card for her manager) My response was as polite as I was capable. I asked if she could unlock the dining room for me instead and again was refused. “Our dining room is closed” I pointed out she was making it impossible for me to make an order. I explained my truck won’t fit through the drive thru safely. She told me how it wasn’t her problem and it was a store policy. I was told to try Mcdonalds or Wendys. Thankfully not all establishments in the area are as callous and I was able to get something to eat. Without truck drivers and the lifestyles we have to live that don’t allow us to go home and cook a normal meal or get in our cars and zip through the local drive thru, you’d have nothing. From the clothes you wear, to the cars you drive, and the homes you live in all of it is brought to you by someone like me that sometimes just wants a burrito late at night like...
Read moreI pulled up to the drive thru. There was two other cars in front of me waiting to order their food. After 15 minutes waiting on the cars in front of me. I pull up only to be told to wait. I waited 10 more minutes. I would have just left but the way the drive thru is set up it wasn't possible. One of the 3 items I ordered I asked for no Guacamole, extra pico in place of it. I got to the second window after paying and I waited another 5-7 minutes for my food. I only had 3 items. I looked at my receipt and they charged me 25 cents for the pico. I asked the girl in the window and she said all sarcastic "well we have to charge you for anything extra". I said "I wanted extra pico instead of guacamole. " Now I know avocados are far more expensive than tomatoes. They couldn't have substituted without charging me, especially for my total 30 minute wait. But that's not all. I pull over to eat my food- no extra pico, no spork to eat my bowl I ordered and my food was cold!!! Other than get to a spork to eat my bowl, I didn't even bother going in and complaining. Hopefully the employee that the cook handed his food to had a better warmer meal. 🤨 While I had to wait after him for cold...
